Easiest way to combat this:
1. When buying merchandise that is quantity restricted, a ticket should need to be scanned with a limit of two per ticket, not per day, but per ticket.
2. When leaving the park with quantity restricted merchandise, you should have to scan your ticket again to make sure that you didn’t have others buy stuff for you.
Anyone caught trying to buy more than the quantity allowed immediately has their ticket revoked without refund.
The first comment is a great idea….but an additional suggestion is for those of us who desire the limited edition or limited quantity items is to make the also available on ShopDisney.com that way we have a real chance or option to purchase one of these items too since we can’t visit the park as often as locals and we would not have to resort to eBay and second hand market web sites….like I did for the Star Wars galaxy edge Life Day Spork…I know no one twisted my arm to pay more for the collectible than the park was charging…but I actually reached out to Disney Customer Service and I received nothing but a “caned” no reply back
