As a senior fan of Walt Disney classic movies I for one do not want to see remakes of these beautiful classic movies with BLACK OR TRANSGENDER leading roles. Stop letting the WOKE movement control DISNEY’S future.
What’s next? Pluto, Donald or Daisy or Minnie Mouse, or Pinocchio? What about Bambi being black? What about Elsa with a woman partner!!!! this madness must stop. The magic worked for 100 years of Walt Disney’s dream why change it because of WOKE ESS!!!

Doris, can you define woke for me? Most folks who use it don’t understand what it really is, so I wanted to check.

“Yet, in the case of the Little Mermaid, the tweak was as minor as a change of skin color.”
I would not classify a change of skin color in any character as a minor “tweak”. This was a major issue that should not have happened in the first place! Disney would have been better off creating a totally new mermaid character and story line using The Little Mermaid theme as a spin off. But alas, they did not and deserve everything they get for trying to be more PC, rather than being creative, which would have all audiences being more receptive.

Would you have preferred the original story, with green skin and gills?

The thing a lot of people were upset about was that Disney and Hollywood
changes all the red heads to black people.

You do realize that all those old movies were also “woke” right?

Remember how people complained that Bambi vilified hunting and firearms?

And do you realize that Frozen was about Elsa being ostracized for having hidden characteristics that were different? That’s exactly the same as being gay.
