Not being good with PR is a pretty solid reason. I love creativity and new ways to tell a story and and pretty lib…but even I squirm as the way this actress is promoting the film by bashing its history.
But… Why remake the exact same movie? Then people complain that they are simply rehashing old success. Everyone is going to complain either way… I don’t understand why people can’t either like a movie or hate a movie, but either way just shut up and let people do their thing.

Disney: First, we’ll take jobs away from actual little actors by making horrible looking cgi little people. That’s a bad choice as well, but the first act of self-sabotage was casting a lead who’s had a clear disdain for the whole story since the very beginning. Swear Disney is purposely digging their own grave with this mistake of a movie. I’m all for Disney wanting to reintroduce their stories to a younger audience, but stick to the source material, there’s a reason why it’s called a classic.

In all honesty there is a trove of beautiful stories in the world to be told. Disney has just gotten lazy, so they keep changing these amazing characters to try to stay relevant. They shouldn’t be changing iconic characters in any way. We have all these stories and nobody telling them, yet they decided to destroy classics. Not to mention what they did to Wish! Finally a new story, and they botch the animation!
