It’s been widely reported that Disney+’s subscriber losses were in India because they lost cricket rights in India and those subscribers were paying something hilarious like 40 cents a month. No wonder Disney didn’t care about getting sports rights to keep them around.

I invest in Disney and haven’t yet seen any conclusive evidence that their content being “woke” has anything to do with any of their troubles. But having seen (or attempted to) many of their shows and movies, I can attest that their attention to quality isn’t what it used to be.

I also used to have large holdings in DIS but sold almost all of it because management keeps giving hundreds of millions to less-than-experienced personnel to produce reduced quality products that are also unappealing on the basis of social politics focus rather than broadly appealing, high quality, profitable products and services. If you fail to see the social politics impact it only shows your lack of ability to see it, not that it isn’t happening.

Get Woke Go Brooke! Why not report on what happened to the Disney Movie Club in Canada?

Gee. I wonder why they are losing millions of customers? Could it be they jacked the rates up a tad higher than what they should, while reducing content? Nevermind India losses, current subscribers have spoken, but Disney, who claims to be listening, is still tone deaf to what their base really wants!

I’m going to be honest, the price is not the problem. Disney no longer makes children’s content. I want something that I can put my kids in front of and go off and do the dishes and not have to worry that they’re going to be exposed to things that don’t align with my religion or my values. Since when is Disney in the business of being political. Children are not political. Cartoons do not need to be political! I really would have paid any amount for wholesome kids entertainment.
