I think that removing all the light poles in response to one falling down is a bit of over-kill. Might be better to look at why this one fell and see if those conditions exist elsewhere. If it was an original pole from the 1950’s then I would say that age and maintenance were factors. And, no, I don’t feel that the parks are less safe now than previously. Though I would push to have uniformed armed police inside the park, and more in the Downtown Disney area.

In what appears to be a knee jerk reaction to remove ALL the lights at an expense far greater than rooting out the problem Disney management yet again removes an item from it’s history & character leaving the parks a little less enjoyable. Management seriously needs to rethink this…

Disney is not the problem for the reported incidences (not the light pole) people are the problem. Values and morals are out the door.
