Bob Iger came in on a high the first time riding the changes Michael Eisner put in place. Iger had the charisma Eisner lacked. Neither Iger or Chapkek are crisis leaders. If Disney wants to get back they need another Eisner type personality and let them run the company without public input.
Honestly, you hit the nail on the head, with that last sentence. Particularly, the last few words… “let them run the company without public input.”
That’s literally been one of the problems in the past few years. The public. They’ve become more and more demanding and critical if not given exactly what they want. This puts major pressure on companies to try and keep the public “satisfied” at least. But because we live in a world full of entitled people, cancel culture, judgemental snowflakes, and overzealous demanders, we might never see a solid good change. Someone is always going to be disappointed, and now due to social media being the “train to jump on”, one foul word and every keyboard warrior, even if they have nothing to do with the subject, jumps in to add to the slandering. Sad state that the world has turned into.
Not saying Iger is innocent, but he’s not completely at fault, when people can’t enjoy what we have without demanding more and ruining what exists
With our business economy as bad as it is and so many layoffs occuring and will occur yet, the economic future will not be close to normal. Let Iger stay for a while and bring in very good managers. This is time for companies to ride out this type of economy and not do layoffs. This war in Ukraine and in Gaza and other places that Communists will shortly invade for continual war, will be rough on the world. And the US. Disney should only make modest increases on customers as they don’t have extra money either.
I think Bob is doing wat needs to be done.it takes a while to get something that big leveled out he knows what he’s doing let pull the company back together.please do make it affordable again to come and be happy.we kinda Miss disney.and smoking 🚬 areas.

If Disney’s board was smart, they would rehire Bob Chapek and let him make the changes he was making to erase all the mistakes of Bob Iger.

Will Disney continue to lecture and insult the majority of people who don’t appreciate his virtue signaling brand of propaganda?
