I don’t plan to watch “Wish”, either in theaters or on streaming. The premise is absurd. And I don’t mean that in a good way, as in amusing absurdity. It’s just absurd.
Disney is out of touch with its audience. It needs to reconnect with it. Can it? I’m not optimistic. Will it? Even less so.
How can you have a say if you are not willing to watch? It’s one thing if you saw it and don’t like it. It’s another not wanting to see it and discredit it and the film company.
Same I saw the movie and loved it. The first act was pretty rough Asha was your standard quirky female protagonist which is pretty bland yet somehow cringe inducing awkward but the movie picked once the magic star arrived and the goat started speaking I really enjoyed Chris Pine as The Evil King/Sorcer Magnifico He was THE BEST PART OF The film him, that ADORABLE Star and The talking goat One thing I HATED were Asha’s friends who were a complete reference to The Seven Dwarves Other than that Wisu was pretty good 8/10
Can’t tell if you’re being sincere, but it’s basically the origin story for the star from “When You Wish Upon A Star.” Just when you thought they’d emptied the whole barrel of potential prequels…
I went to see this film. Boring film. Same narrative sewn in about the over throw of an experienced government by young know it alls that establish a matriarchy. Wait till it streams on Disney+ and aave your money.
The hand drawn art is great. The story is kind of meh. Some good songs with a couple bad. Not as funny as most Disney classics. Overall I say it’s average but my girls liked it. Which is why I went
Isn’t that the recipe for almost every show intended for children and adolescents! One that gives them a chance to see someone their age being smarter or more in control than someone older? That’s not a new story.
I personally like that my children see empowered to think for themselves rather than simply suffer silently at the hands of an “experienced government.”
But I suppose that’s what the far right is afraid of these days… Kids thinking for themselves and seeing that the motives of these leaders aren’t always good.
Not every wish should be granted without restraint… the makers of the film doesn’t seem to understand that. Turning Red made the same mistake just a year earlier. You need to understand that sometimes those older people in charge are the ones who are correct and not those who are ’empowered to think for themselves”, especially then the latter group is told WHAT to think and not HOW. That was the fatal flaw and failure of the freethought movement.
Doesn’t take a “far right” person to see that. You need to repent.
We’ve really saved our money by not watching it like we did Encanto which was a flop at the box office just like with Strange New World, and Buzz Lightyear. Plus we cancelled Disney+. If you wanted the Walt Disney experience but without preaching to you, you can go see a traveling Disney Broadway show or Disney on Ice with classic Disney characters. Don’t go to their overpriced parks and attractions but go instead on a Disney cruise with some having Marvel and Star Wars Cruise which are 1000% better than Disney Marvel and Star Wars Lands. Plus it’s a better Walt Disney Experience at half the cost.
Saw this yesterday with my four year old grandson. I enjoyed it and he liked it so much.
That he asked his daddy who was a manager at the theater if we could go home and watch it on TV
Can you elaborate? Seems that audiences are enjoying it, so are you suggesting that hiring based on skin color results in a great product? I guess that makes sense!
If you watch closely, there are hidden messages clearly sent to activate the commie sleeper agents through secret codes! This move is no more than an attempt for the one world government to over throw freedom and religious morality! Save your children and avoid this work of the beast!
We made it our Thanksgiving movie and we loved it. I have a 15 year old and as a family we go every year on Thanksgiving to see the Disney movie that comes out and every year we enjoy the movie and our company together. Thank you Disney for another wonderful and memorable year.
I would have say Save your money. This flop is terrible. The girl starts out whitish and ends up a weird dark color. Color was not consistent thru out the film. The kids were bored in about 15 minutes. The music and songs were boring. Not catchy at all. Come on Disney, you can do much better than this dribble.
I took my kids to watch it and they loved it. The movie has several messages with deep meaning that most critics and people will not get. Maybe they just need to watch it a fee times to get it.
I was with a 13 year old ad a 6 year old and “WISH” not only kept their interest it kept mines also. After the movie we discussed the movie and a wish can be as powerful as the individual that has the dreams and making the wish. All 3 of us enjoyed the movie.
Judge it for yourself.
Oh no! A predictable plot in a Disney movie. Oh, the horror!
I’ve seen it twice in the theater (my wife & I then me and my adult daughter) and loved it both times. The music is really good even though there isn’t a “Let It Go” level hit song. It was exactly what I expected from a Disney movie. Well worth the time.
Of course I’ll watch it on Disney+ several times to find more Easter eggs 🙂

That’s a bummer for you. Encanto was amazing.

Encanto and wish wasn’t a flop

Went to see it yesterday….I was expecting a bad movie. I was surprised…it was a cute movie. Predictable , but I liked it.
Patrick Hausenfleck
I haven’t seen it yet…but from the sound of things…the hidden Easter Eggs seem more a low key poke at Christianity & Spiritual faith in general.

I saw it today and thought it has a really good bad guy. Been missing for other Disney movies. I would say it’s a 8/10

When Disney hires solely on skin color and gender..NOT talent or experience…you get WISH

Don’t be a shill. Hire people on merit.

The collapse of disney is glorious. They simply refuse to accept that activists are running the company into the ground.
