  1. Emperor’s New Groove was a hillarious film. You can watch it over and over. People have been asking for a Kuzco rollercoaster for some time. Amazon had Song of the South on DVD for a while, look it up. Disney chose to honor Tiana with her own ride, because they feel they committed a sinful act against the African American community. Myself, I don’t care. Don’t care about their virtue signaling or alphabet pride.

      Yeah! I agree!

I still fail to see how the original Splash Mountain cartoon character scenes had anything ratial built into it. This is once again a total WOKE idea and Disney once again caves………..

who cares – the parks are/have been being ruined by the woke idiot cry babies that see a boogie man around every door and an offense in every word. coupled with the fact that Iger and the board have allowed a rabid staff of the same to destroy the Disney brand. But that what cancel culture is – destroy everything and
“build back better” with inferior woke garbage. Meanwhile Iger sails around the Mediterranean in his new sail boat built on the ashes of Disney-but cannot figure out the problem? Hardly he knows full well and is preparing it for a fire sale. The only thing he knows how to do is break up and sell companies. the whole lot are evil . Don’t and won’t go there anymore.

    Rather have Splash Mountain!!!!!

The most popular ride, Splash Mountain was related to a 1946 film that glorified a superb actor James Baskett, and his iconic “Zip a Dee Do Dah” — the least racist film ever with the happiest song ever.

Disney is spending tens of millions to change the ride to feature a fictional princess of the same race as Baskett to honor the activists that run the political party that runs our government.

THAT is a powerful activist group that can convince our amazing entertainment company to shoot themselves in the foot economically.

They should never have gotten rid of Splash Mountain.

      Same.

Splash Mountain should be refurbished, and every inch cleaned , repaired every animatronic to perfect working order and open it back up without a retheme

Magic Kingdom is an Icon Park and at the same time a museum. They should leave the classic attractions alone save for a few mechanical upgrades. Adding to areas like the Tron Coaster is fine, but tearing down history for virtue signalling doesn’t conform to my idea of progress.
20000 Leagues while an iconic ride and one of my favorites had to go because of the decaying nature of the Subs and cost to keep them in operation; all Understandable. What has gone on with Journey into Imagination over the years is a Nightmare, but I feel the intent was the same.
Disney stop destroying iconic attractions, especially an attraction such as Splash Mountain, that no one had a problem with. A high percentage of guests had no idea the movie it was tied to, which is not exactly a bad movie. It’s a 70 year old movie with ideas that are no longer pervasive; it doesn’t mean it needs to be erased.

I have to agree with with the above comments. Aa I previously stated “why is Disney listing to the few and not the many. ” This is fantasy it encourages imagination and creativity, it was what American History was about. If you do away with the past and say it did not exist then the past is left open to interruption and history will repeat itself. Why are we validating these people. Splash Mountain was a fun animated ride with folk songs and forest creatures who could talk, sing and dance. I would rather my grandchildren be exposed to Splash Mountain as to the violent video games and rap music.

First, you can get Song of the South and watch it and make judgments for yourself as to whether or not you believe there to be racial intent. Second, the ride with only the cartoon scenes in fact was showing some of the first African-American literature that we know to have existed which if you ever did you homework you would know. Princess and the Frog is getting cheated by replacing Splash Mountain with a crap story line, at least based on what has been released so far. Emperors New Groove is fabulous, but no would not fit into that space and its theme. It would do much better in Epcot, or as a ride in the rumored 5th park to be based on the villains.

I think The Princess and the Frog will make a great ride, I loved the movie, but, removing Splash Mountain was a mistake. Tiana needed her own, brand new attraction. If we keep letting “woke” culture have their way it’ll just get worse. The rational thinkers need to be the loudest in the room, not the crybabies.

I’d rather have multiple Splash Mountain rides with multiple different themes that would keep the Splash Mountain name in creative ways!

Themes would include Pirates of the Caribbean to complement the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride, Moana with Montonui and the Polynesian Pacific Islands, The Lion King with an African jungle, and other themes!

List of Themes for Possible Splash Mountain Rides:
    – Pirates of the Caribbean
    – Moana
    – The Jungle Book
    – The Lion King
    – Other Possible Themes

    Bring back Splash Mountain!
