    Wrong Move Disney !!!

    1. M

Everything before the 2000’s should be left alone. Disney is a fan favorite from ages 2-adult. People, leave well enough alone. There are still more people that enjoy the movies than complain about them.

      1. Johnno

They did not change anything! They are fixing up/restoring 90 year old prints! Even the Sistine Chapel got an update!!

        1. Chelle

I believe that they were talking about the live versions ya daft twit. Especially changing them because this generation can’t handle the joys of what early generations enjoyed and the actual creators put into them.

          1. Jamie

Did you even read the article or just the title?

        2. JohnR

Indeed. The objections here seem off the mark. From another story about this that I came across, it sounds like they are trying to restore it as much as possible to its 1930s look, utilizing the original negative.

        3. Joe

That’s what I was going to write.

        4. Jane

There is nothing wrong with Disney movies and nothing should be changed or parts edited.

          1. B

The original Disney movies are wonderful. Nothing should be changed at all. Disney is making a Big mistake.

      2. K

What the heck are you doing, Disney? Trying to rewrite history, that’s what you’re doing, and chasing away some of your biggest fans and fanbase. Not the best move.

        1. Valorielorie

All they did was restore it for 4K. Chill.

      3. Billy

Why create an arbitrary cut off of 2000? Censorship is censorship, regardless of whether you only start it 20 years ago.

      4. Kat

Anything whatsoever Disney needs to be left alone.

  2. Sue

Why can’t people leave them old classic movies alone?
They font seem to have brains enough to think up their own movies or cartoons .
So they have to ruin somebody else’s that has been around and enjoyed for years.

    1. Jeanine

Yes I agree with you Sue

  3. Nia

    Bad idea

  4. John f weinberger lll

Leave it alone , this change is not necessary,

  5. Stop erasing Walt from his beloved movies and from his parks!

  6. East Tennessee

Save your old Disney VHS tapes!

I really hate The Walt Disney Company so very much both dearly and indeed anyways then and I really don’t like or love Bob Iger and Bob Chapek and I really miss having Walt Disney, Ron Miller, and of course Michael Eisner so very much both dearly and indeed anyways then and plus Walt Disney 1937 Snow White & The 7 Dwarfs is a masterpiece and it was the start of full-length 2D traditional hand-drawn animated motion pictures and I really want 2D traditional hand-drawn animated motion pictures back up onto the big silver screen again because sadly both Walt Disney 2009 The Princess & The Frog and Walt Disney 2011 Winnie The Pooh was sadly the 2 very last and final full-length 2D traditional hand-drawn animated motion pictures that was originally made by The Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California

    1. Dodger

Did ChatGPT write this? Because wow.

      1. Steve

Yes, I was going to ask what he had against punctuation.

  8. Greg

Simple solution: put both on disney+.. snow white (original version ) and Snow White ( remastered version)

  9. Charles

Leave the older movies alone The past is the past and don’t remake movies to make everyone happy Make new movies that will make everyone happy everyone needs to stop being crying so sensitive.

  10. Please don’t remove Snow White I watched the show growing up don’t take it. Off

    1. Jacob Allen

You cannot cancel or remove the original animated Snow White at all!

  11. Love Original Disney

Disney get your crap together, we don’t like the new Snow White idea, leave the Original alone and stop trying to ruin Disney that has been loved for so long. You are monsters

  12. Samantha

Disney is woke blm. And blm is bad news. Lost is cow dung. Purposely is what they are doing. And if this is an act then all Disney fans should stock up on the classics and favorite others but BLM stuff should be avoided and banned.

Getting rid of them is a joke Disney has enough money to buy a new building and restore the classics.

  13. Jonathan Carmona

Yeah, what a stupid move. Instead they should be removing this atrocious remake idea with no dwarves. Honor the great classics of the past or leave them alone.

  14. Jeanine

Please stop taking the old movies and remaking it with new stuff in it. Leave the old movies alone.

  15. Kimberly

You can’t change the past so leave it alone..don’t judge old movies by todays standards.

  16. Jay

I don’t need them to restore an old classic, I like the old way the film originally looks.

  17. Bio

Disney please let Walt rest in peace and stop destroying his dream

  18. Tim

They cannot remove snow white. It is what made the company . Alot of people agree with that . I also understand that disney can do what ever they want as a company.

  19. Charlene

Snow White is my favorite movie! Leave it alone! So tired of remakes. Can’t they think of anything new or maybe they can’t read or use their imagination like Walt did.

  20. Jeff

Disney can’t do anything right anymore. So disappointing.

  21. Theo

If it is released on Bluray, it should have both versions on it.
When they are shown on television they should be stated as original and restored or digitally enhanced.

  22. Loreen

You are erasing Disney and it’s history in every choice you are making.

  23. Amanda

Seriously? Why is anyone making a stink about a classic story that has been around for decades? Those that get butt hurt about every little thing need to find other things focus on. Sheesh rediculous.

  24. Virginia

    Stop messing with perfection.

  25. Steve

I love the original movie and I’m 71! I’m very happy I got the original movie so I can enjoy it when ever I want. Quit being reactionary Disney. There is nothing wrong with the original. Especially if it was good for Walt back in the day.

    1. Dodger

So Disney shouldn’t take care of their older films to prevent them from diminishing in quality as they age? How sad that you feel that way. Even Walt would want his films looked after and tended to, so they remain as pristine as possible. I hate to disappoint ya, but you don’t own the original movie. No one does except Disney…unless you’re prepared to tell us you have the original negative stored away in your home somewhere, which is not watchable on present-day home entertainment systems anyway. LOL

  26. Kat

DISNEY, Enough already!!! This is becoming asinine. Leave the Most Classic Iconic Disney Films as is, whomever is supposedly in Charge needs to be told the Real Fans/Public ARE NOT approving of ANY Changes at all!!!

  27. John

I am not a fan of remakes. Now, if Disney is ‘restoring’ Snow White by taking the original negative or whatever source material is available, correcting scratches and color timing, and other imperfections, then I am fine with it. I want to see a film as audiences of the day viewed it in theaters. Look at the restorations done by Universal to 1931 Dracula and other titles. They look magnificent!

  28. I do not care for remakes. I do support film preservation and restoration. If Disney is ‘restoring’ Snow White by taking the original negative or whatever original sources are available, and removing damage, scratches, correcting the color timing, etc then I am all in. I want to see the film as audiences of the day viewed it. Look at the restorations done by Universal to the 1931 Dracula and other titles. They are magnificent. If that is Disney’a goal, then proceed!

  29. Mimi

Leave the classic films alone! Why rewrite and erase what many of us grew up enjoyed watching as children? I still watch these classic films, I only wish I had the collection my dad bought me years ago on VHS. It seems like history is being erased or rewritten, it’s depressing.

  30. Disney stop catering to the very vocal minority. Stay politically neutral. Create new characters and themes. Stop changing the pass successes.
Go back to Mr. Rogers and spread love for each other and respect not division.

    1. Dodger

Please explain how Disney is catering to a vocal minority by restoring an old movie so it looks better.

  31. Justin

Wow. It’s either people not actually reading the article or not understanding what exactly understanding what is happening. All they’re doing is enhancing clarity and colors. I’m not sure if the average person knows, but the tech back then didn’t allow for this clarity. If you have a moment, look up the animation cels. THAT’S what they’re aiming for. So for all intents and purposes, they making it MORE into what Walt wanted it to look like.

  32. S Ford

Don’t do it. Snow White is my favorite character. I’ve loved her since 1959. Please don’t mess with the past. It actually happened just correct and improve the future
