The price hike from my $90 a year to $140 a year is ridiculous, I cancelled my renewal.

Pfft, anyone who pays that much upfront has an irrelevant opinion.

Disney is failing because “bidenomics” is eroding discretionary spending for many Americans. It’s failing because the leadership has embraced an agenda that most people don’t agree with. They are failing because people don’t want to be lectured when they want to be entertained.

They can reverse course but I think they have lost millions of Americans who don’t care for their messaging.

    Go woke go broke.

  5. I don’t know anyone who cares about Disney unless they have little ones. Even then, Netflix has plenty of kids’ movies. Adding ads and raising prices? Final nail in coffin.

    They lost this viewer.

Disney has fettered away their hard-earned trust and loyalty from their fanbase by forgetting who their target audiences are. They eschewed a more moderate tone in their programming and allowed the creatives to inject their own personal political ideologies within their content. This was further compounded by leaked videos of their creative staff openly discussing injecting “woke” social justice ideological content, specific to gender and sexual identity, into youth programming which many in their fanbase have rightfully viewed as attempting to subvert the parent’s authority and position of trust in their children’s lives and runs directly counter to half or more of their target audiences social, political, or religious beliefs. Disney openly embracing political agendas and picking sides and not just being an apolitical corporation focused on profit and entertaining ALL of its fans has greatly contributed to its downfall. This type of mismanagement along with continuing to gouge their fans with maximized pricing while over-valuing their product has pushed away and withered their support both socially and economically. Additionally, the current economic climate of an inflationary recession which leads to less discretionary spending money while the economy limps along means that consumers who may have been willing to look past the social missteps and political positions taken by the corporate body are now provided a viable excuse to dismiss the House of Mouse and keep their money in the bank or spend elsewhere that does not denigrate their personal beliefs, subvert the parents place in their children’s lives, and doing so at a steep premium for the majority of the national and international target demos.

Umm, go back to 1955 where your viewpoint was more acceptable?

Disney plus when it decided that they were going to hike up the price that was one of their biggest mistake as well as adding commercials the ONLY reason people in the world pay for one channel subscription over the others is because they want no BS commercials for that we stick to regular t.v and yes Netflix is better because we pay for content not commercials!!!

    Hi
I always believe that WaltDisney was a safe place where kids and some adults (my inner kid)like myself could enjoy good programming. But as I can see not so much anymore. I’m not saying to shy away with the growing up programs, but I noticed some programs and I say to myself they put that on the Disney Channel WOW. I guess the give in and the monopoly of ownership is what counts.

The main problem is they, Disney are not supporting their hit shows. They cut off or stop altogether their hit seasons for years or permanently, so they can save money at the expense of their viewers & fans who pay Disney salaries. Remember who your customers are and support them, otherwise you Disney will be out of business soon. Word to the wise.

I believe they are not doing well in streaming because they are not really updating their content much and people feel like they are wasting their money. Also whatever a person’s or organization’s views are their personal views and opinions. The viewers might feel that they are pushing information on children that is not appropriate for their age demographic so they are leaving.

I agree whole heartedly with what prior post have stated about Disney inserting their own social agenda into their programing . And you know that’s really bad when I who believe in the live and let live philosophy objects to what I believe is a preaching of values that some don’t want taught to their children. This doesn’t affect me so much as I being a lifelong Marvel / Star Wars fan who is disgusted by the lack of quality shows such as She-Hulk , Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye (the later used only to introduce another female superhero no one cares about) can you say Me too movement. Now instead of ramping up production using tier one characters such as Thor, Captain America ect they’ve decided to produce a movie with three female superheros no one cares about, which probably would’ve been better released on Disney+ instead of in theaters. But no what do we get Disney + that they will be producing less content for more money . The wokeness combined with the price hike has surely spelled doom for the house of mouse if they don’t reverse course quickly….

Oh don’t even try to act like you aren’t just another bigot.

Why won’t you post my comments, ITM?

Is it because I disagree with your recent takes?

Makes sense why Disney+ should shut down. Three reasons too.

Number one; Disney ruins a lot of animation. I mean look what’s happened to blue sky after their failure bucks wild adventures.

Number two; Disney+ is such a procrastinator about old Disney Channel shows. Aside from Lilo and stitch series I haven’t found house of mouse, Dave the barbarian, in two of my childhood animations… The legend of Tarzan and buzz Lightyear off star command.

And finally number three; Disney is just desperate to make more money and dishonors animation. Marvel and Star Wars that’s fine, but what really riled me up, was the fact that they were trying to involve anime instead of animation. And you have to admit that’s way low, even for them.

So I say more power to Netflix and let the “Great Procrastinator” Disney+ call it quits.

    1. Sid Nightwalker

Like you know what good animation even is. Do yourself a favor and look up “Disney Afternoon”. Watch some genuinely well made series for once.

Disney cannot fail. Disney can’t give its Disney+ power away. It’s doing pretty great with the movies and tv shows and shorts. It cannot give up now or ever! It’s doing pretty great! Awesome actually!!

Disney cannot fail. Disney can’t give up its Disney+ power. It’s doing pretty great with the movies, tv shows and the shorts. And its originals too. It can’t give up now or ever at any point. It’s doing pretty great. Awesome actually. Unless it’s just a rumor. It’s just a rumor, right? It’s gotta be a rumor. I bet it is a rumor.
