  1. It’s for your safety. What would you do if you had to get out/off the ride and couldn’t by yourself?

And some either can’t or don’t read. The person said they can walk and climb stairs. Several times. I use a chair. Walking long distances or standing in long lines is uncomfortable, but I can do it in an emergency. Such as an evac. Would probably end my day at the park, for that day. But most people don’t have to evac.

it’s not discrimination. It is just common sense. My husband is 6‘4“ tall and on some rides he has to sit sideways because of those long legs of his. He gets it. If every ride was made for every body size and shape then a lot of average size people and kids would not be safe.

Are they disabled or just realllly fat?

I recently went to Disney in Florida and luckily I knew in advance that Tron has a 2 person car style seat in the back of some of the lines. They don’t advertise it and will try and talk you out of trying to ride if you’re very overweight or disabled. If you’re seeing this before going to Disney, do not let them tell you you can’t ride Tron. And yes you can get to the front of the line in a wheelchair so don’t let them make you park before going in!

That’s happened to me on the it’s a small world boat ride, it has the handicap sign right on the ride, but the attendant would not let me on it because I can’t climb stairs if it breaks down! Then why are other disabled people going on it except me?

I have gone on it’s a small world and been able to stay in my wheelchair. They just fastened it down.
The Land and Mexico also let me stay in my wheelchair. Spaceship Earth is the only ride that has ever asked me if I could walk down stairs during an evacuation.

Unfortunately there are people out there that use mobility scooters & wheelchairs as a privilege to get on rides (with their entire party) faster although they could walk because I’ve seen them & have another member sit in it. Using the free bus from park to park, I’ve also seen where alot of people were waiting, then at the back of the line a mobility scooter was let on (fair enough) but the family of 10 also went on before all those already waiting in line. I realize there are genuine disabled persons but hey at least let them only have 1 person to go on a ride or bus with them & the rest can wait like the others.
