Ugh where do they don’t go up there over privileged little twits. Just one more reason to avoid this movie. Why is a Mexican playing a German princess? Not to mention she isn’t really that famous of a person. Win some awards and then you can talk.
This is what happens when parents choose to be friends with their kids instead of being a parent. A parent would discipline their kid. A parent would teach them good work ethics. Instead, some parents would side with their kid when they misbehaved at school and were counseled by the teacher/principal when the kids did misdeeds. They would give their kids new gaming systems, phones, cars etc. when they wanted one rather than making them work for it. This is what we get, a bunch of self-centered, entitled yahoos. Gonna be interesting when the gen z’ers finally get a reality check, and not the kind of check that is cashed.

Just what Disney needs..a 22 yr old primadonna mouthing off and causing even further damage to an already tainted brand and film that hasn’t even been released yet.
Woke eat the Woke!
I agree with being fairly compensated while working. I know there are also already royalty payments as there always has been. She does not need or deserve to be paid excess money for “every hour it streams”. You know what you sign up for. You know what your pay is and what you will have to do as far as make up and physical work. So if you sign it, you accepted it. You already got paid more than you deserve.
So now I can’t see the comments unless I post a comment?
I feel nothing but pity for this actress. She agreed to be in the movie and was paid for it. Now if she wants to use her platform to help all the people behind the scenes, that make her look good, then I’m all for it. She gets the adulation of … well some anyway, while most who write the words that make her job easier, work in anonymity.
Disney is a bloated corpse of a company and could stand to have the gas siphoned from it.
Good for Rachel for standing up for herself and her fellow actors. Bottom line, that’s what this strike is about, negotiating with people who make $26M a year so more actors you don’t know can make $26K a year and earn health insurance.
Acting or writing is a gig. Your hired on contract. Not an employee. You want CEO pay then go run a big corporation then. Acting is not work. Not my fault they live in the 3rd most expensive state. Why should I spend more on tickets so they can live above their means. They sign a contract. Honor it. Blame your agent and lack of understanding
tbone, How ignorant can one be? This outlook of “you don’t like it get another job” is exactly why the gap between rich and poor is growing in this country. No respect for workers. And I’d love it if people like you who complain about actors asking for fair pay never get to watch movies or TV again. You have no idea how much work these people do.
Really? Okay, you never get to watch TV or movies again. You hateful people sit on your asses and watch these actors all the time but then say Hollywood should die? Hypocrite of the highest order.
Yes, the criticisms are fair. You are extremely biased and carrying the water for the unions and other radical leftists. Finally, you may want want to edit your piece because a “fundamental lack of a misunderstanding” makes no sense.
I don’t agree with her comments (“every hour it’s aired”?), however I do support the strike for fair residuals/compensation and unfair/uncompensated usage of actors images utilizing AI technology.
She’s right, but these are her opinions. I’m Sag-Aftra, and just want to be fairly compensated due to inflations and cost of living increases. And yes, I have other jobs. Most actors & writers have multiple avenues of income, but some of the stuff in our contracts have not been updated in 40 years.
New Media is no longer “new” so changes must be made whether the AMPTP thinks so or not.
Go woke and go broke. Disney hired a Mexican to play a part that should have been given to a German. Then the young “snowflake”, after signing and agreeing to the contract, feels entitled to “streaming” money. I imagine because she knows this movie is going to flop and sees the writing on the wall.
Actors should most definitely be justly compensated not only for their movies, and even tv shows when aired. Especially when some of the agreements have not been updated in decades.
As for Rachel Zegler she should probably keep her cards close to her chest simply because her first two films have been box office bombs… and the latest one is not looking good and it is still in post production.

Everyone deserves to get paid correctly!!! Disney employees at the parks deserve to get paid correctly! Why are you so special?
Mike
Why is it deemed to be woke for talking about fair pay? Any one of us would same the exact same thing for any job.

She is right. All actors should be paid for all the hours they work, and for all the hours their work streams or screens. It is pretty simple.
