      Amen

  2. First off, it’s not 115°. It’s in the mid nineties. I know humidity is oppressive. Spent plenty of time down south. Also spent lots of time in the desert southwest. It’s several orders of magnitude worse when it’s actually 115° outside.
Secondly, don’t go to the parks in August if you’re adverse to heat. I work outside in the Southern California sun all summer and even I avoid the park this time of year. If you’re from the Midwest or somewhere with real winters you are going to suffer.

Well, they did say heat index. Not actual. So, 115 is accurate.

No fun standing in a line for a ride for an hour for a 3 minute thrill. Also, it’s Florida. Hot and humid.

Anyone who has been to Magic Kingdom knows there is literally 8sqft of shade in the entire park. I’ve hid under the arch “ruins” a time or two to get out of the sun. Last time I was there the index was 97 and it was miserable, but I like the heat, dressed appropriately, and hydrated plenty. I can only imagine people with compromised health, elderly, or the little ones suffering. Not like you know what the temp will be 9mos ago when you booked your trip. Disney needs to get those misters and fans out and rocking.

Just another Florida summer, but for some odd reason social media in 2023 has made everyone a ‘victim’ and whiner!
