I think she really fits the part as it was originally conceived. She has the fascia features that match the character. I am impressed by her acting skills and feel that she will bring the character to life!

I’m not sure about Florence Pugh, but I can kind of see it.

Disney you have a long ways to go to get rid of Woke so get busy & stay busy until you get it completely DONE !!

Why wouldn’t they cast Mandy Moore?

  6. Sheri

She’s too old to play Rapunzel. They need someone way younger.

Why don’t they stop making Live Action Remakes that no one cares about?

Anyone complaining about this choice is in the 0.1% that complain about everything no matter what. It’s time Disney really stops trying to please these tiny % of folks, and dividing their fan base over the “unpleaseable” tiny amount of people that value their political agenda over everything else. Just let Disney be what it is supposed to be – An Entertainment Company – NOT a multi-billion dollar activist organization.

As it should be. If the minds at Disney want to appear more “woke” maybe they should try to come up with some NEW material instead of recasting an old product.

I agree with the content if these comments. Disney was always inclusive, they don’t need to be political and we are approaching a trend of erasing European descent people from every narrative which is just as discriminatory as not including other races or genders. Disney needs to take a step back to middle ground and find their balance again.

People actually wanted a black girl in this part? What were they going to do, use 50 foot hair extensions?
