Well before too long, FL is going to be underwater anyway, so they’ll have to move somewhere. At some point in the near future they’ll have choice but to move to some higher ground . Why not start.this now and start building, followed by a big mouse finger flipping off DeSantis.

“FL is going to be underwater anyway” Crystal ball?

Disney is definitely too powerful. I was hurt on Disney property due to the company’s negligence and my case never saw the light of day in a court. It was simply dismissed. Ruins our vacation and I was left with a bad concussion and back problems. Disney never even acknowledged any wrong doing

That has nothing to do with DeSantis stomping all over Disney’s first amendment rights. And I am sorry you were hurt.

DeSantis is nothing but a gop bully trying to win favor with people he hope will nominate him for the presidency. How he got elected in Florida I’ll never know. He needs to be recalled and replaced. He’s bringing Florida down and taking everyone with him. Disney does a great job. It does have some issues, but don’t come close to DeSantis’s small boy thinking.

“How he got elected in Florida I’ll never know” People like his ideas and what he is doing. Except in Orange County. Floridians don’t think like you

Sorry this just gets me, “This peculiar, though not wholly unexpected, development makes it that much more apparent why the new CFTOD board is essential as an independent and honest broker,”
Independent and honest? Isn’t the whole board a puppet for DeSantis and weren’t laws passed signed by DeSantis that put him in charge of the board and who the people who serve on it? So no they are not honest and independent. They are a puppet.

Next election is going to be interesting in FL. Once new people are elected, I imagine a lot of this goes away.

Yes, no corporation should control and direct government action. No state. Including Florida, should permit any public government services board or municipal board to be directly or indirectly by any corporation. Disney, by determining who lives inside the the city limits because they own the only residences inside the city effectively appoints and controls the city councils. The solution is to pass state legislation that increases the residential size of those two cities. Maybe annex the Celebration neighborhood into the two cities equally?

Disney followed the law when they made the final decision as Reedy Creek. It was not done in secret. The mere fact that this story says that tells me which side of the coin you are on and what you are peddling.

    Leave Disney alone
