I’ve seen it. It is brilliant. These so called reviews are 88mph off the mark. Don’t be put off by hap-hazard and lazy reviews and go see for yourself. Best theatre I have seen in years 🙂 😀

I have an idea for Hollywood. Why not remake/reboot terrible films? Remakes/reboots are only lead to comparisons of the original. You will still have that comparison but it will be like Jimi Hendrix’s cover of All Along the Watchtower vs Aaron Carter’s cover I Want Candy. Remake or Reboot terrible films from the past that had a good story that was executed terribly.

As someone who saw the show, I can confidently say that it’s one of the best things on Broadway right now. The cast is phenomenal (Roger Bart stole the show in my opinion – I couldn’t see anyone playing Doc better than him other than the man himself, Christopher Lloyd), the sets and staging are beautiful, and don’t even get me started on that damn DeLorean! I laughed, I cried, I jammed out in my seat, and I had the time of my life. DEFINITELY recommend that everyone goes to see it at least once. ^^

I honestly don’t know what the critics are looking for; it was a solid way to bring the movie to life. Certain things needed to be rewritten (though I think having the car cover controlled and missing the Libyans were a bit off) and that it was more comical than the original intent, it still stayed true and was a fresh showing.

We don’t want them to destroy Michael J. Fox’s work. The only one that could have pulled off. That part was migratory Fox. And I don’t think we’re placed it with a female role with Justice to the movie Back to the future is what it is. And unfortunately, they didn’t make a moment another one with the original actors.leave the movie alone

    People are sick of remakes.
There will be huge backlash, especially if you change Marty to a girl, plus it won’t help the strike as people will see this and figure, “they don’t have originally ideas, why pay them more? Let AI rewrite it”.
That being said, the stage show will have a killer run. It is made to go on the road and performed where it’s target audience lives. Not on snobbish, “high-falutin”, pretentious Broadway patrons.

This is a franchise that should be left alone. We don’t need a reboot. We don’t need sequels. Sure, they weren’t perfect. But they are classic. Perhaps these filmmakers could take a stab ar something that should have been good and flopped. Fix those franchises.

A theatrical version of a movie is not a reboot, it’s an adaptation to another platform.
That being said, Hollywood appears to have lost their creativity when all they can come up with are reboots of past movies. And if they reboot a movie that’s already considered a gem, the reboot is likely to flop, e.g., the Ghostbusters reboot. If they must reboot a past movie, maybe try a movie that didn’t do as well, and improve on it.

BTTF Reboot? What reboot? I never heard a single thing about this anywhere. Was this supposed to be released in theaters, or is it just a streaming thing? Somebody please fill me in!

Stop calling it a reboot…a musical is not a reboot it’s just a Broadway adaptation.

The 88 miles per hour stop at 88 miles per hour, not 0- 1000 miles per hour and rebooted then it’s more of a BOOOOOO!!! then a yah!!!

“A female led reboot ” color me shocked! What an original idea…

This is possibly not true. I heard the director signed a document stating no remake or further sequel are not allowed. Thank God. Come up with ur own ideas people. Stop destroying my childhood.

I saw it with my dad, my uncle, and my kids. We had 3 generations together enjoying the same show, each taking away a favorite scene, a favorite addendum, a favorite actor, and a favorite song. Only a movie like this, could 3 generations enjoy together as a play. The critics have lost touch with reality. They need to make like a tree, and get outta here…

I saw it in London and agree with the critics that the best bit of the show is the car. The songs are forgettable and it’s not a show I would want to see again. Stick with the films.
