And it will get worse for Disney because of the direction they gone in different ways & Walt would not be happy!

I think Walt would be a little disappointed. He would love many of the changes. He would not like some of the behaviors of staff. I could go on but we all have our opinions.

        Go woke, go broke

Um, tourisim overall in FL is up, just Disney is down. Even Universal is seeing increases over pre pandemic levels.

Corporations should stay out of social and political issues that do not reflect the views of their stock holders and concentrate on improving their core business.

You’re so right. Are they trying to help making excuses for Disney. I’m one of the oldies when the parks were open until midnight, two parades a night, parks were spotless disgusting what happening. Disney Springs was like another park restaurants and club, even a club for teenagers. You felt appreciated and were getting your monies worth. Sad🤦‍♀️

So not true! Busy as ever. Not many locals. Rides are so busy. 70 minute waits. Pooh 65 minutes, seven dwarf mine train 100 minutes. That is slow??

      Wrong

Are you seriously using a random commenter on Reddit as a source?

yes becuase she sucks and writes crap

  4. Jay

If this is true, then why are wait times so high?

I was thinking the same thing! I was just at HS today and the crowds were insane!!!

That’s why for the Progre- Lobby and for the no good education for kids in son things direction and the price is to high for to many times in lines 🧐

Conservatives which is half the country aren’t buying what Disney is selling. Funny how the elephant in the room isn’t acknowledged…

Sorry so not true. You may want to believe that, but most of us are in the Disney camp. Don’t forget the world marketers too.

Although 74% of republicans are conservative, in the country as a whole, they are 1/3rd.

        Thank God!!

  7. I just settled an insurance lawsuit called,” Get me to the front of the line at Six Flags!”

You people are funny. Disney isn’t down. Crowd calendars easily show that. July has become a quieter month ever since the tiered system was implemented years ago. The nickle-and-dime argument has been around for decades as well. Things change. Disney test things and if positive feedback is received, they keep. Negative typically will get something altered. Bitching on your computer & still going, is seen as positive because you’re still spending the green.

Always have an escape goat don’t you? You can blame DeSantis but what about the fact that Disney limits the number of people they allow in. You did mention the economy but not until you placed blame on DeSantis. Maybe DeSantis is the reason not as many people are coming or maybe it’s because they moved here? And further more, why do I want to go to a park where there seems to be a fight breakout most every day and I read that police were waiting to arrest a person on a ride, and all these young girls wearing revealing outfits, spending as much on a snack as a meal cost and even with a meal it’s about 2 bites. Disney needs to wake up and realize they don’t have to shove LGBQT????? Down the throats of its patrons, just be respectful. We don’t see white people walking around with signs saying “White and proud of it” nor Indians proclaiming how the white people took their land. Punishing racisms with racisms accomplishes nothing but empty parks. Disney has lost that “Magical place on earth” and I honesty don’t know if they can ever get it back.

Just your opinion! To my family Disney IS still a magical place.

Well the article has my feel right on the money, due to Disney nickle and dimming me and so many extra costs for things that used to be included, less for more money. The lack of room service, when staying on property, the lack of a Dining Plan, the extra car park charges (I know the car parking cost has gone now) but over the years this has added up. My family and I have loved coming to Disney, but sadly I do get the feeling of just being ripped off and I don’t like it.

we will still be coming to Florida in 2024, but we are giving Disney a miss and will continue to do so until things change, really change. It will be our first time staying at Universal, but it looks good and more than equals Disney, if not a little better on the costs.

Sorry Disney you have yourselves to blame and that clown Chapek that have destroyed your image and reputation. I really do hope you make BIG changes for the better, as my family that has been coming 1 to 2 times a year staying on property will be giving you a wide berth until you do.

This is all just so much BS. The idea that people aren’t coming to Florida because of the Governor is just liberal wishful thinking! I live there – the bad traffic has become YEAR ROUND not just during the winter season. Every time I go to Disney IT IS CROWDED. I don’t know why I bother reading all this liberal claptrap.

We the people do not like Disney interfering in our politics. Neither do we appreciate their greed. Disney isn’t the only place to vacation!

    1. Jarvis

      Exactly Modine

I was a Disney fanatic for over 40 years. Spent big money for the memories with friends and family. Unfortunately my last visit was such a disappointment with the lack of magic from the accommodations, cast members, and the lack of imagination from the imagineers that I feel that the Magic Kingdom has run its course. I have deleted my Disney account and I’m actually Turing into a Busch Gardens fan now.

I saw someone’s video from the MK 4th of July fireworks. It was so mobbed! The theme parks are doing just fine.

  16. DStevens

Disney shot themselves in the foot multiple times, monetizing everything, removing on-site perks, and placing ideology over entertainment. They’re now reaping what they’ve sown. My family won’t be back.

  17. Jennifer

Have you looked at wait times? They look perfectly normal right now at 11:15am.

  18. Robert

Florida tourism is not down. I live here and it is packed as usual. Maybe it is their ever increasing admission fees. Last time I went the park fee was 50 per adult. I know it’s three times that now. Too much free to do in florida besides drain you retirement account.

  19. Duane

I sold my Disney stock 2 years ago when they pushed a wile agenda. Likewise, I started taking my grandkids to family oriented parks in the Smokey Mountsins, Pisgeon Forge, etc. I was told by woke people ai would not be missed. So be it.

  20. Nancy Dash

Go woke go broke! We have canceled our trip! I loved Disney but disagree with the way they are going and they have out priced me . Not a dream vacation any more!

  21. Jarvis

Actually Florida tourism is at an all time high this year. It’s just the horrible Bidenflation and Disney that have been ruining things. Get woke, go broke.

  22. M. Siel

Maybe Disney should re-examine their great idea of charging extra for fast pass rides meant to thin linez fown…, (Hey…, it worked!), and make their Disney app an option to visitors, rather then mandatory to get fast passes , restaurant reservations, etc. Not everybody has access to a cell phone app.
