Yeah, I think Moon Knight will be back in the multiverse saga in some way, either as an Avenger, or in Midnight Sons, fighting a supernatural threat because the Avengers are busy fighting Kang

Immediately called this as well. Whether it’s due to perceived complications with Oscar Issac to resume the role or they’re continuing their agenda of promoting new female superheroes… One thing is certain, Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night have been the most successful introductory characters/stories in all of the post Endgame content. Marvel should lean into their “monsters” instead of just trying to create new characters because they believe what they have won’t work.

However, Marvel can’t even get Blade off the ground. So perhaps believing Marvel/Disney can do what Universal has been unable to do for almost a century now in creating a monster universe is also wrong. Again, one thing is certain, people are fatigued on Avengers and superheroes in general. Killing them all off and replacing them with female, LBGTQ+, overpowered versions is barely a way to revitalize it. It’s time to move on to monsters or just start creating a convincing universe without releasing any new movies/series until it doesn’t look like they’re just making things up as they go.

I personally think that Bob is making a bad situation worse. Things are at a stand still completely and now because of him Marvel is basically doing what hboMax did. If I’m not getting anything New coming after this year then what’s the point of paying for a yearly subscription… if nothing is happening for 2 years then bye-bye Disney +. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Either stick to the comics or name it something else. Moon knight and what if were the only redeemable MCU entertainment in recent shows

Agreed! I’ve never been more interested watching a series until those two came along.

Marvel/disney stuff is normally hit or miss with me so found myself really surprised those two shows were vastly different from the others.

Given MK plot is the typical “guy has to save the world” it was executed in a unique way I didn’t see coming.

Don’t think disney is going to have anymore interesting shows or movies anytime soon. Most of what they have now is the same old movies or cartoons getting rebooted.

Screw the source material on the death, we only got to see like 2 or 3 minutes tops of Jake, they should make a season 2 or at least something that shows us more of all three of the personalities

The only reason I loved Moon Knight and the Only reason Moon knight was a Bang is because Oscar Issac.

Otherwise it’s just a random Marvel Movie.
I hate to see him Go 😢😢

You claim they may cancel Moon Knight for the money but also say it was the most anticipated premiere of the quarter. Why would Disney cancel a moneymaker that theoretically is bringing people to Disney+?

Alternatively , having watched werewolf by night and never being able to get that 4 hrs of my life back, and having no interest in moon knight at all..
I’d suggest making a new Avengers movie that includes, Ironman, hulk, spidey , black widow, Mr. hawkeye and captain America.
I mean with the original actors.
I have yet find the person saying they were revulsed and sickened watching infinity war because the actors and heroes were so terrible.
IMHO, if they’d just kept going with the cast that they had established, Disney could still be making money.
Presumably, all of those actors have now priced themselves out of the market or taken their big payday and retired.
So I suppose Disney has no choice but to try and move forward. That doesn’t mean they will be successful .
Contrary to my assertion, maybe Disney does need to move fully in the direction of an all minority avengers with Lady hawkeye,ms marvel, lady Thor, scarlet witch, black widow jr, lady antman (hmm, that’s a conundrum), They Vision, black Spiderman, black Cap’n America …we’re still missing a black lady..who did I miss?
This is surely the only way forward. There can be no other .
Whether it makes money is to be seen.

Booooo, I love Oscar as Moon Knight.

      Same here!

  10. Mister WarBeast

Comics kill off their characters all the time and they usually end up coming back eventually. This isn’t any big thing.

  11. meh

Moon Knight was the only Marvel show I liked and got me to read the comic…. Can’t say that I’m disappointed but Oscar did a pretty good job all things considered!

  12. Xero

    Most likely not

  13. The Comics follow the movies because people see the shows and than buy the comics. The Movies also have to make the characters recognizable from the comics because people go to the movies to see the characters from the comics. The characters have to match the comic but the stories do not. So any major change in the movies has to be reflected in the comics but major changes in the comics don’t need to get to the big screen. All that being said, a new Moonknight is needed before season 2 of the show because show established the Jake Lockey has his own Moonknight. They are killing off Jake Spector to match show not end it. They need an in comic reason to make a new Jake Lockey centric Moonlight.

They should not kill off Marc Specktor, but have him retire from being Moon Knight and have his son replace him.

  16. Davonte

    Doesn’t really make sense

  17. Former cast member

The comics are rated R they should of done the same for the show. Stop trying to make the women save him it’s annoying. Stay with the source material.

Sadly the main actor is also a beta male in real life. Wearing skirts. Yikes. I guess I’ll stay with my old comics, before Disney touched and soiled them.

  18. Cassiel

I don’t want to watch a second season, with the first was enough. If they kill the character that’s okay for me, it’s just another character from the bunch.

  19. Jeff Dranetz

    “Brakes” not “breaks”.

  20. Taiger

Hope for another season of Moon Knight.
    Superhero Fatigue?
    Depends on the Movie.
    IF:
    it’s a Spectacular Script
    has an Amazing Cast
And gives you a Web of Intrigue
    – Then it will Ultimately do Extremely well in the Box Office.
    Let’s face it
    – Antman Wasp Quantum was ok.
    – Dr. Strange Madness was alright
    – Guardians was excellent Thank the Galactic Heavens
But as I see it (and I saw them all) these were not exactly “ooohhh aawww” movies.
It’s NOT “Fatigue” it’s the MOVIE.
IF Fatigue is the issue, then Bond, Trek & the IMF would have been bombs.
Just because the Disaster Company keeps making crappy movies, does NOT mean Superhero Fatigue.
IF you are going to TEASE a Hard Core return of a Superman, have him announce his own “Return” and then go “oops” … Well that leaves an EXTREMELY BAD TASTE and is in Bad taste!
Give the people what they ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE!

With all this happening, can Beta Ray Bill be far behind?

  22. Randy

I wish they would LEAVE STUFF ALONE!!!! If they’re ending the show, at least write it into one of the episodes! Don’t just drop it and leave everyone hanging!! Marvel is getting just as bad as DC!

  23. Rozey

If they get rid of moon knight they are going to turn into DC with their half assed stories. You can’t leave stuff just open with no resolution. That’s what gets fans mad and what loses fans in my opinion.

  24. Mechafx

I did not like the Moon Knight series. I didn’t do the scarce seen comic book character justice. Too much buffoonery. It did have very excellent cinematography though.

  25. ALAN MC NAMARA

This was Marvels best show why would they want to kill off an amazing character that wouldnt make any sense.
