It’s too late. They’ve disrespected too many high profile characters ( almost nobody cared that much, one way or another, about Ant-Man & The Wasp) like Hulk. That one alone was enough to make many fans say…” Adios “. They ran Star Wars into the ground to a point that it was no longer recognizable & they’re in the process of doing the same thing to their vaunted MCU. You start ignoring the source material & it’s all over.
Star Wars didn’t have source material outside of the movies and Clone Wars before Disney bought it. George Lucas stated on multiple occasions that the novels were never intended to be and never would be Canon and the only reason he let them be written is if he ever needed ideas for the Canon, which is exactly how Disney is using them.
It’s apparent when people who have a passion for the comics write and direct them. That makes a difference in how much better they are. Look at most of the Arrowverse direction. Not every arc or episode is going to be a winner but being invested and accurate is going to net more acclaim than alienating or downplaying the fans. Being cohesive is vital. Saw that from the demise of Star Wars and perhaps Indiana Jones.
I think that fans having a stronger voice in production decisions could have a positive impact on the popularity of the next phase. Fans know what we want to see, because they want to see it too. Slavish devotion to decades of conflicting canon is not required, but adhering to the major universal plot points couldn’t hurt.
How many times must we see the hero fighting or teaming up with a variant of themselves? The Marvel movies and TV shows have been doing that since Iron Man debuted and it’s OLD FOR EVERYONE! Marvel has a rich history of villains, motivations, and evil schemes and the damned studio goes from identical variants to Skrulls, who just so happen to duplicate the hero? Timing is everything, fellas, and your sucking at it.
Why does everyone keep saying that quantumania was a failure? I don’t get it, I loved the movie. I mean, ok, some of the vsfx were sub-par, and i thought ant-man was going to get stuck down there, but looking past that, the movie is setting up phase 5, what more do people want?
They want a movie that tells a good story about characters they care about. Quantumania failed to do either. It was poorly written, the characters had no story arcs, and it’s clear the only reason the movie exists at all is to set up Kang.
Considering the fact that now everything Netflix, primetime, and Sony is cannon in the MCU… can we just start adding more useless characters that mean nothing to the stories that were fired up 2 decades ago? Let’s make a Stand alone movie about Nathaniel Essex!!!
Idk about all of that. But when you start making artistic privilege to a character that’s been the same way tried and true forever.thats when you run into problems you think people are ok with it. Not true !!! And you actually think that the people that are seeing these movies have never read a comic huh? Lol come on get real!!! That’s why these damned movies ended up getting made in the first damned place . It’s us fans of the comics that make or break these movies lol
Also they have plenty of original content to last forever just follow the script set up in they original content of the comics characters. Comics work so just stick to the stories already written and set up for you already! It’s not rocket science guys 😆 lol

As a fan I am there for every title. Some are obviously better then others but I enjoy the universe they stated a plan to fix the universe pushing quality over quantity which will be the big change but it hasn’t started yet because many titles were already in process of filming which means from scratch quality vs quantity plan really starts with Deadpool 3 and for the Disney plus side maybe vision quest or wonderman being that everything else was already in process so the point is give the plan time to get off the ground rather then jump on the bashing of MCU
I just want to see a Fantastic Four movie done right. I like to see Hulk done right because the older comics are rich in storytelling material. The second Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer was good, but they made Galactus unrecognizable. I don’t understand the director’s changing villains and think that fans will be okay with it.

The source material is not as important as making a good movie. Less than 10% of the audience will have even read the comics.
