I will not watch a Pirates sequel unless Johnny Depp has a part in it. Actors are human and lead lives away from their job just like the rest of us. If they are right for a part in a movie, they should be selected to play that part. If the actors private life obstructs their ability to perform their job, then that is a different story.

My family and I have all the Johnny Depp’ ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies and enjoy rewatching them. We can only hope Mr. Depp refuses to work for Disney on a future ‘Pirates’ movie (for obvious reasons). Additionally, any studio who would ‘shelve’ a film about the rescue of children who have been taken into the trafficking of same gives one pause…why in the world would Disney Studios (of all studios) block the release of Sound Of Freedom? I truly truly love POTC, but I ESPECIALLY love Captain Jack Sparrow. I dressed up as him constantly as a child. Idolized him and I can’t imagine POTC 6 without him. I however don’t want him to feel forced to return. But I’d truly love him back!!

While it would be monumental to have Johnny Depp reprise his Captain Jack Sparrow character, I’m of the opinion not to speculate on the outcome, to respect his decision in the matter and to give him my full support and fan approval of whatever endeavor he chooses to commit himself to.
Talent, such as his, as well as his public appeal is astronomically unfathomable and I suspect will remain so for ages to come.
Disney slit their own throat by removing him from the franchise and I foresee any sequels or spin-offs without him to be horrific disasters at the box office.
It would be really cool to see him in another Pirates of the Caribbean movie though!

Mr. Depp is truly an icon. His name is known around the world. Disney made a huge mistake to be sure and now they need to bring him back to help save Disney. Ironic don’t you think? They screw Mr. Depp over, then they want to bring him back to save their empire. Face it, the world is changing, evolving, if you will. Things need to change in order to become more than it is. I feel Depp should be permitted to do what he wants. He’s earned at least that much. If he wants to help save Disney or crack open a beer and watch in crumble it should be his choice.
