Although I will be enjoying some of the “extra hours” this fall because we will be staying at a deluxe resort, overall I think WDW is pricing itself out of hundreds-of-thousands (if not more) of would-be visitors.
People will either stay away altogether, or cut their visits shorter and shorter as is a family member is doing this summer. This member often used to bring their family and stay on property (with full package deals) for 7-8 days. However, because of the drastic rise in costs coupled with decreased amenities, they are only staying 3 nights this summer.
I do not understand how Disney believes their new strategies and costly changes for guests will bring in new or repeat visitors. They must be in more serious financial difficulty than the general public is even aware.
To now include permanently decreasing hours of operation for even visitors staying on property, will further keep and drive even Disney lovers away.
I for one hope the Magic that Walt Disney himself created, doesn’t vanish completely.
As a child, I always wanted to go to Disney. As a single mother, I always wanted to take my boys. In 2016, I spent my 50th at the parks! HOPPER ticket fun. I took my oldest grandprincess when she was 6 (4 days) – Very Merry Christmas – Fast Pass – early and late hours. I took my 2nd grand princess when she was 4 – Fast Pass – Character Dining – Early Breakfast Magic Hours. Feb., 2020 *before Covid* took my entire crew (only 1 day – hopper). Fast pass was a game changer and the nice hours. My bday is in Nov. and my oldest son will be turning 40 in Nov. Guess where we are headed!!
Very sad to see the hours are shorter, no fast pass *ordered new Magic Bands+*, hopper pass next park isn’t until after 2pm?? Hours shorter, pay for Genie *if you want convenience*, more difficult with families to do hopper if you can’t do next park until 2pm. Not to mention, airfare and lodging costs.
Disney please continue to think about your guests and their “Magical Dreams” stop thinking of ways to charge us more but providing less.
Disney Fast Pass was the free thing that no other parks had and give our hours back!
I have been to WDW 14 times from age 30 to 63, last trip Jan 2019, & my favorite part of every trip is staying for park closure. When extra magic hours started for any on site hotel guest, that became my favorite perk, and a big reason to be sure to get park Hopper tickets. I am disappointed that only people who can afford deluxe resorts will have that perk. Early entry is not my thing.
With the increased prices of tickets the parks should all be open later. The lines have been so long and people just aren’t getting their money’s worth. Let’s get things back to how they used to be and make Disney Magical again

Pandor needs to stay open at least an hour past nightfall to be able to enjoy the beauty of it all light up at night

There is nothing wrong with Disney Hours. You are being negative.

Nothing is ever permanent in a place built of magic and dreams.

Pay a lot more to get in and get a lot less. That’s not magical, it’s illogical. You are cutting off your own neck, Disney!

Must be hurting if they can’t keep the same hours and got rid of the fast pass and lightning lanes.
