Hasbro is giving Transformer Optimus Prime a new look that is no longer American. Are fans going to be okay with that?

While unveiling a large assortment of new Autobots and Decepticons in their various Transformers action figure lines, Hasbro announced a collaboration with Swedish automaker Volvo to create a new Volvo Semi Optimus Prime figure that transforms into a licensed Volvo VNR 300 semi-truck. It’s always better to go into battle for Cybertron with an excellent highway safety rating!
The figure is part of the Transformers Generations line, which celebrates the legacy of the iconic franchise. It features classic G1 details, like the classic trailer that opens into a battle station. The figure also comes with a Matrix of Leadership accessory, which can be inserted into Optimus Prime’s chest to determine if “you’ve got the touch!”.

It’s a menacing and massive figure that will challenge the Autobots and the Maximals.
