As usual, greed by the higher ups is squeezing the underlings. As a company owner i pay my workers and increase their pay for good work vs punishing them for success. I wish the WGA all the luck in the world at the bargaining table

Exactly this type of stuff is running rampant right now and its disgusting. I bet your employees are very grateful for the way you treat them.

Disney seems to always be involved in some controversy now. They forget their main target audience are children. Piss off the parents and you don’t get access to their children. Disney are not Gods. They don’t treat their employees well at all. Their magic is a lie. I’ll never take my kids to those parks again.

      Yes you will.

Good for you.❗👍🏼Have you ever read the real story on Walt Disney❓ Read it one day. You’ll be disgusted.

Having lived in Hollywood, with writer and production assistant friends this is Hollywood 101: If it doesn’t have a significant audience it gets dropped. As this is happening, the underlings get paid less and less. That’s it.

And this is why people pirate. If the services hosting content cannot be relied upon to continue serving it up, people will create their own libraries. I don’t approve of it, but this is one of the reasons it happens.

EXACTLY! And this is also why I buy physical media of all the shows/movies that I really like.

It’s got nothing to do with residuals. Residuals are worth nothing. It’s got to do with the writing off of assets to dispose of them.

250k a years to write shows/stories…. or 4k a week… 4k a week is more then people doing real work.

I totally agree here I can’t even get a place unless I have a roommate and a second job

Maybe try another skill or go back to school. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Whining is pathetic.

    2. Kevin

Totally agree. Once again these Hollywood people are living in a fantasy land.

One thing these streaming companies don’t seem to think about is if customers begin to see things disappearing they count it as unreliable, stay unreliable for very long and you permanently lose those customers. Another aspect is they one time purchase the digital content and returning income leaves. Companies who treat employees wrongly may last a while but inevitably go up in flames. Wise up Disney because you have too many fires all over the place.

Gee I wouldn’t mind being paid 4000 a week. The greed is definitely higher ups but it is also low man as well. Some of us don’t even make 2000 a month. So boohoo on this

So their getting rid of shows nonone watched or cared for nor even asked for. All behind the scene shows that no one cared about. No one rioted for them and they arent getting rid of any MCU shows.

Agree with you. Never heard of either or didn’t care for them. Last tv show that was good was Falcon & Winter Soldier. And movie was Endgame. After that everything went out sh@it. Could be wrong on tv & movie but that’s all that comes to mind. They complain that higher ups make 250k a yr. And they just make 4k a week & only work around 20 hrs a week. That’s 192k a yr❗What the hell ❗ Just damn greedy all around. Their solution in the end will be to higher prices on movie tickets and streaming services. Let the fans eat it ❗ Greedy basta@*s❗

  10. So now instead of the casting couch for aspiring actors it’s the writers couch as they screw the writers on the couch right out of residuals. While the populace/fans keeps the shows continuing to play and replay so the studios make all the money from screen time, commercials, endorsements, and toy/novelty sales. But hey don’t pay the writers what they are worth so you can pocket all the money off their work and concepts. Yes sounds like maybe Disney and the other shows/studios should be boycott.
