Yes.
Its really well done. One must listen to dialogue and the screen at all times.
Paranoia is felt.
Far better paced so far in two episodes than any Disney+ show except WandaVision.
I have no idea what the critics are saying but my advice is not to listen to “Professional Reviewers” for good or bad as they seem to have an agenda pre-watch. The first episode was slow and I get it, a story needs a footing. As for the second episode; this was some of the best acting and gutsy storytelling I seen in MCU tv/movies. The one advice I would give to Marvel/Disney; take a lesson from Apple TV and put out the first two or three episodes at launch. In the time of low attention span, a lot of people are not willing to give a slow start to a story or put up with a lot of dialogue. This show requires you to pay attention and every gesture means something. I am into thee show and give it a 8.5 out of 10 so far.
i honestly believe superhero fan fatigue is not the case as other superhero shows have proved to be successful when well written as was the case of Spiderman in No Way Home and across the Spiderverse.
Marvel IS failing in two departments: the digital fx quality and the writing of their shows.
Phase 4’s Loki is the only one regarded as the most interesting although it kinda fell in the last episode. I enjoyed it completely and understand the importance of the variant Loki and Sylvie now.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a bit slow at times and the villans where very lackluster… many hated that agent 13 was made a villain.
She-Hulk was an insult to fans, quite literally. never has a show ever given me the middle finger as this one did.
Wandavision had several very serious issues but many didn’t appreciated things like the return of a fan favorite Quicksilver and the possibility of the integration of sony’s mutants at the time only to be mocked by the show on that regard.
Hawkeye was funny and entertaining but the now clear bait and switch of turning male characters into female versions put many away.
Black widow was a catastrophe because the death of Natasha was scarified in the MCU first 10 years fans and seeing a prequel wasn’t really a good move.
Turning Antman into a jerk and an imbecile to support his female version in Quantuummania (Plus a terrible script) made the movie painful to finish.
the list goes on and on…
the main problem with Disney’s management of marvel is how much feminist politics where poured into it with Kevin F. even stating he planned to turn the MCU 85% or more feminine, how poor or convoluted the scripts are written out… I mean I’m almost sure I understand what Kevin is doing around the multiverse thing around Loki BUT not everyone if appreciative of a complicated overall plot trying to hold several bad scripted shows around it, and to boot since everything is SO rushed out the CGI is terrible in many if not most cases.
Their clinging to actors instead of characters hurts… why not recast TChalla? because they wanted a female narrative and forget the tale that they wanted to honor Chadwick… why not recast Majors as Kang instead of running around in panic because of yet ANOTHER bad choice in an actor like they did with Tenoch Huerta?
I HATED the MCU iteration of the atlanteans and watching a mayan, wet feathered Namor killed me… and I am LATIN AMERICAN plus the Fantastic 4 being my all time favorite comics and superhero group I hated what they did with the character.
Disney just has NO idea what to do with their characters and tales because they pay more attention to the policies they want to pour in everything than actually listening and respecting the fans of the characters they’re playing with.
I sat through the first episode last night. Based on that 1 hour of Storytelling I have no intention of watching the rest of the season. Underwhelming to say the least. Just simply boring.
It’s not about to much content, it’s about pushing the woke message. The father away from the original story arc and characters, the worse the movie or series does.
Why is it that people can not enjoy a show/series that takes some time to set it all up? Not every show can start off with a bang.
Relax and maybe some people need to wait and then watch multiple episodes so you can see that it takes time for a 6 episode show to setup the story. Don’t be in such a rush.
The biggest problem is the fact they are turning every superhero into a female version. We don’t need a female thor and a female iron man and a female black panther and 2 female antmans. It has destroyed the story telling by making it less superhero and more (ANYONE CAN BE A SUPERHERO). If they’re trying to draw in more females, it ain’t gonna happen. Women would rather watch drama and catfights and faux reality TV. They want jerry Springer type crap and think comic books are childish. There are some who like marvel but they like it because of what it was, not what Disney is trying to make it. In their quest to bring in a larger audience, Disney is driving away the people who spend a billion dollars on every movie. Secret invasion is great so far and anyone who says different expects the series to be wrapped up in 1 episode. How can anyone say it’s the lowest rated after 1 show?
The problem with invasion low ratings I think is because Disney should have released all episodes at once.. I like to binge watch I HATE WAITING IN SUSPENSE.. this is 2023 no one wants to wait for episodes to drop weekly.. it’s like watching regular TV.

Well written and well said! You summed it up perfectly!

Everything on Disney shouldn’t be for kids;
Invasion is for a mature audience.
Leave “Frozen” and other animation to the huckabucks!
