Personally, I’ve felt as though it’s been time for the last thirteen years but I’m biased since animation is always my first love. The one thing I looked forward to the most after Disney bought Marvel was a very strong Marvel Animation division but it became less of a priority for them than ever before. There’s no reason that Sony should have cranked out Spider-Verse quality Marvel Animation before Marvel ever did.
And Disney’s recent treatment of animation has felt shameful, especially when you consider that Disney is a brand synonymous with animation.
