To say Disney has their fingers in many pies would be a grand and glorious understatement. From spirit jerseys to fidget spinners, there’s not a place of business that isn’t at least in the vicinity of something connected to Disney,Pixar or other properties. While they might sell everything from bedding to bath products and beyond, Disney is pretty protective of their IP, and they don’t really like to share.

Thanks to their acquisition of IP from Pixar, Marvel, and even Star Wars, multiple companies and stores sell some variant of Disney trinket, but that’s usually because they have some form of arrangement with the company. Should they try to work outside that legal agreement, Disney’s lawyers are ready to tear them to shreds. A certain old country store might have just made a serious and deadly mistake.
Cracker Barrel Rips Off Pixar

Although they’ve decided to dip their toe in a sea of controversy with their recent pride merch, Cracker Barrel is known for its rocking chairs, home cooking, and southern hospitality, and that’s not really changed in decades. However, a recent discovery from Disney Dan might pull them into a legal battle with the mouse house.
@disneydanyoutube WHAT IS HAPPENING AT @Cracker Barrel??? @Pixar #toystory #crackerbarrel #saltandpepper #bootleg #toys #collectibles
Disney Dan is a content creator very well known to most Disney fans, and his TikTok above might have just blown a major whistle on everyone’s favorite old-time country store. There’s not a shred of doubt that whomever designed the salt shaker in the video was directly inspired by the Pizza Planet aliens in Pixar’s Toy Story. That means the restaurant chain could be in some hot water with Disney.
Disney has gone to legal war over their intellectual property before, and it as definitely not pretty. If the company is willing to sue a daycare for copyright infringement over life-sized murals, a salt shaker wouldn’t take much of a stretch for them either.
While we have no true confirmation on the supposed legal trouble the brand could face, we can definitely expect some form of consequence sometime soon. This was clearly and purposefully a Pixar rip-off, and there’s not a shred of Disney’s trademark on that package. How long will it be before one of their legal minions notices?
