Just got back from WDW. Didn’t use genie/LL, stand by only. Rode every single ride in every park, most several times. We rode Flight of Passage 4 times. Most of our trip the wait time for that ride was usually 60-120 minutes. But we only waited 30 minutes, 40 minutes, 15 minutes and 20 minutes. You just have to be flexible and clever about it. We know all the sweet spot times to do the popular rides. The time it was 15 minutes, the posted wait time actually said 60. But it was right at park hopper time when we knew crowds were shifting and LL wasn’t until 3. So they way over inflated it, probably not wanting guests to notice the dip.
Not pleased with Disney trying to manipulate crowds by having sections of the park closed at early entry for resort guests though. What’s the point of that “perk” if you can only go on a handful of rides. Basically only Mine Train, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise and Space Mountain as the main choices? Which also happen to be the most popular? Or cutting off country access to guests arriving backside of Epcot so they’re forced to just do Ratatouille or trek over to Soarin (but the front entry folks getting there first), so then when they open Frozen and Test Track at the normal open, they’re busy as well? Or Tower of Terror and Mickey Railway not being open, but Rise and Slinky are? That’s shady. They’ve had different excuses about this the past three times we’ve visited. They purposely keep certain rides closed to generate crowds at rides to get more LL purchases.

Just eliminate lightning lane/Genie+ and have Standby only, leave the existing queues in place for guest recovery, etc.
The lines will be faster for everyone and none of this paying to get on “faster”

Got a Magic Key, always arrive late, and never pay for Geniecrap or Lightning Lanes.
