It’s well written, they took their time on it and it shows. For “woke” specifically, It’s not marketed as woke, but still is a bit. It tries to make a point wich is woke, rather than just trying to mimic woke without a point. That’s what makes it good, mostly the writing, woke is just a cherry on top here.

All of the sides are dumpster fires and we should make massive arenas and let them fight one another and let the casinos, states, and online websites take the bets. I am tired of hearing the hypocrisy from the left, right, middle, and fringe alike as the lot of them do not have enough collective brain cells to fit on the head of a pin and they are all too intellectually dishonest, disreputable, and lazy to do their own thinking in their lives and the lot of them would rather use all sorts of media networks, regardless of them being “mainstream” or “fringe/alternative”, than to actually do some real investigating on what the lot of them are promoting in this world.

I feel like an old man saying this but I remember when movies were just movies and it was better that way. But since we’re on the topic of woke, people forget that black Americans account for only 14% while white people are around 75% of the US population and LGBTQ is around 7.2% and straight is about 86% so for the wokers out there it may seem like the straight white people are over represented but if you look at the numbers, straight whites are actually underrepresented. you can argue against me but if my source for those percentages is correct it cannot be refuted, but I’m sure there are a whole bunch of people who will try.

Including more diversity does not mean just black Americans. In actually, non Hispanic whites make up 58% of the population according to the last census. Additionally, in 2021, 61% of movies were led by a white people. The states on queer vs straight media is even more disproportionate. So no, white straight peoples are not underrepresented in movies. It’s astounding that people don’t want to see various perspectives of life and adventure. It’s just a movie, why are people so upset about it’s topics? Why can’t more perspectives of life be shown? Why do people throw a fit over other demographics being portrayed in movies? Like what is the reasons besides the obvious; I hate poc, gay people, and women and I only want to see my perspective in media (Sources: U.S. Census and the New York Daily News)

That’s not true because I liked the first Black Panther movie a lot. That movie was not woke, it was simply entertainment. What we don’t like is when they create content and they expect that the inclusion of POC and women is a substitute for good writing. They have this mentality of “oh, we’re including POC/women, so we don’t have to write a good story.” That is how the second black panther and a lot of the other Multiverse Saga films/shows have been. I’m still waiting to see Sam Wilson as Captain America in the films, because he is actually a respectable character as opposed to other POC characters that have zero character depth. They expect us to like those characters (i.e. Riri Williams) simply because of their skin. No, we wanna see character arcs and depth of personality. We don’t care what color their skin is.

Caucasian is not underrepresented but everything else is over represented for sure and in a toxic manner where angry manly looking women are stronger and more competent than caucasian straight men.

I promise black people having 15% of the film roles won’t hurt you

Pretty much nailed it there. All I hear is people complaining about “woke”. But let’s be honest here. Being against “Woke” is just rebranding your bigotry. All of you need to find an island somewhere where you can be anti-woke together and the rest of the planet can just relax without listening to your BS

Drax the meatiest man man realizes he is meant for fatherhood is woke af. All the broken characters in the story, which is all of them, show there is strength in love and acceptance yet they still kick ass wholesale. That is Woke.

      1. D

Woke is liberal in nature and fatherhood and masculinity is being attacked in all sorts of media, especially caucasian straight christian/religious, and instead lgtb and feminism is raised up as the superior standard in the world as if that reflected reality in any shape or form.

Trust Chris Pratt to not get involved in silly w0keness

Women, eugenics and anti-animal cruelty? Seriously? Author clearly has ZERO idea what WOKE means! THATS NOT IT!

  6. Jonathan

Its not antiwoke. It has a narrative about animal abuse and slavery. These have always been comic talking points. As well a depper story about finding your place.

Keep crying about marvel being woke. You sound like babies with no brains.

  7. I have been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
