She’s not wrong about all the “vloggers,” but she too is lying to her kids by taking them there, no? What happens when they grow older and want to return to the parks because non used to take them?

I don’t go to DL to “heal my inner child.” I go because it makes me feel good. I truly can keave the outside world and its headaches behind when I enter. And if I DO decide to stand in line to greet a character, DEAL WITH IT. I paid to get in, same as all y’all with kids (mine are grown now). So I get to do all the rhings if I want.

My husband and I are Disney adults. She’s just a hater. We plan to cover 3 Disney parks next year. I don’t tell this evil woman how to spend her money and she has no business telling me we can’t go. Disney is a business like any other. I hope her kids grow up to be better humans than her

  4. Gigi

I was there in Disney World in March and had a wonderful time. How dare this hater tell me or any other adult how to spend our money! I love Disney, that’s why I went and will go again.

  5. Mega

Oh no people are spending money in a way that makes them happy. No disney adults did not run you off the internet. Your attitude did.

  6. Well I think the lady is absolutely correct, and I am not in the least surprised at the defensive comments abovem. Disney IS primarily for kids. Saddos like these defending their supposed RIGHT to a kids entertainment are entirely in the wrong. These whingeing, childish Americans need to grow up. Again, ITS FOR KIDS, please remember that.

Bet you’re fun at parties…if you’re ever invited

      1. Simon

        Probably goes to adult parties.

It is NOT just for kids. Walt Disney created Disneyland for people of all ages. And in case you don’t know, all ages includes adults. Guess what? You have an age. Do you know what is really childish? Judging people for liking something different than what you like. BTW you had better never watch any Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Twentieth Century Fox, or National Geographic films or shows, or you are nothing but a hypocrite.

    3. Cookie

There’s no age restrictions on fun. There are no age restrictions at Disneyland, other than the cost of a ticket for children after a certain age. You sound like an old man who is bitter from some supposed slight issued.

    4. Michele

Disney was never “for kids”. The animated Disney movies beginning with Steamboat Willie are filled with references made solely for adult entertainment. Live action movies are, in many cases, for the entertainment of adults. The parks are for both kids and adults. Sorry, but the woman is incorrect. I shouldn’t have to make way for a snotty nosed brat acting exactly like his or her equally juvenile mother because the mother doesn’t think adults should meet the characters for photos.

Seriously? Obviously not been to Epcot world showcase that is clearly for adults? How about Galaxies Edge, Tower of Terror, or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind… all MADE for adult demographic and too intense for kids usually. Disney is not just Dumbo, Toy Story, Aladdin’s Magic Carpet and those kinds of things that are made for kids.

My guess is you haven’t even been…

Disney is for kids of all ages. That means even if I was 80. If I want to go there to feel like a kid that is my given right to do so. How dare you tread on my rights. I suppose you would have a problem with my bedroom too. I have Disney bedsheets, wall stickers, stuffies of all sorts of characters, all sorts of toys and collectables. I live like a kid and no one is going to take that away from me.

The 150 bars and 6 Michelin rated restaurants on property might dispute that. There’s a TON of things to do at Disney for adults.

    8. Annette

I have been going to Disney for 45 years and I still love it as much as the first time. Yes I took my kids and then Grandchildren, but to say it’s for kids is not correct. It wasn’t the kids who groomed the parents to like Disney but the other way around. We all pay the same price to go and if I want to stand in a line to meet my favorite character, then so be it as it’s my choice not yours. Just know you’re going to spend time in lines and chill out.

    9. I paid to get in just like every one else. I can stand in line to meet characters too

    10. Kathy

      No, it’s for EVERYONE.
“To all who come to this happy place, welcome” that’s what Walt Disney said on opening day.
Also, Here age relives fond memories of the past and here, youth may savor the challenge and purpose of the future.”

    11. Mike

You must be a Brit. Brits have no sense of joy to begin with. Get over it!!

“The idea of Disneyland is a simple one. It will be a place for people to find happiness and knowledge. It will be a place for parents and children to share pleasant times in one another’s company; a place for teachers and pupils to discover greater ways of understanding and education. Here the older generation can recapture the nostalgia of days gone by, and the younger generation can savor the challenge of the future.” – Walt Disney”

I was a solo senior citizen in line to meet Merida at WDW Magic Kingdom recently. I was there to get a Merida tote bag signed for the daughter of an old school friend in Australia who is battling cancer. I believe I had every right to stand in that line like everyone else. And I should feel bad about that? Absolutely 100% not! I’d love to see her banned from Disney.

So Basically the lady is basically believes the entire park exists for children, primarily her children, she’s basically a Karen, I’d be surprised if she didn’t speak to a park manager about these adults waiting in her line.

  10. Smitty

What’s with these parents with kids who don’t want to wait in lines like everyone else and expect others to move put of their way when it’s parade time and said parents didn’t want to put the time in to get a good spot. Just because they have kids doesn’t make them more special. We regularly took our kids to Disney parks and never expected entitled treatment. She’s probably like that with other aspects of her life too. Yech!

I think the immaturity in attacking the commenter that most of these responses portray shows exactly why they feel a need to greet a costumed character.

    1. Stan

Well Sir you know what they say, opinions are like As……

      1. Vince Gonzales

I mean, I’m cool with kids and the fam greeting characters, but I guess I’m too old to get the idea of adults doing it for videos.

      2. Right! There are usually three of them facing you against your one…
