They should not target anyone specifcally. However, they should strictly enforce ADA rules regarding accomidations with extremely harsh penalties for repeat violations.
Why is Disney and Iger so concerned with code enforcement. I watched the entire board meeting and from what I heard the new board is adopting national best practices regarding code enforcement, the state fire code regarding false alarms and other safety issues, and national best practices regarding appealing a code enforecement decision.
Is Disney concerned that WDW currently has several issues that would result in code violations under a best practices code? Has Disney not been properly keeping up with defeciences? If Disney has been doing what it should to ensure proper safety for its employees and guests then I don’t see what the big deal is.
It was also made clear that the old Reedy Creek Board was not properly handling some of its responibiltes it had with the RCFD. As well as, that the RCID had many existing deals with the Reedy Creek Energy, which is wholly owned by Disney that skirted transpancey; the new board is changing that to ensure that everyone pays a fair rate based on independent third party consultant that works with many Florida munciplaties to provide similair services.

If they are going to do this, they should go after ADA violations and the fines should be a lot larger and targeted at Disney.
