Wow. What a ridiculous premise. No theme park in history would do this due to a reboot. At most, a new ride will show up with the new cast. More likely, additional merchandise will be made to double dip on the purchasing from fans of both series.

Also possible, the show license will be separate from the movies, and can be licensed to another park (like Marvel comics vs MCU).

Six Flags has multiple Batman and Superman rides, two franchises that have been rebooted multiple times. No changes made nor necessary.

Furthermore, there’s no guarantee this reboot will happen. A lot can change in the new few years.

Once specks that the author of this article is delusional personally and professionally.

This website in general is inflammatory and jumps to the worst conclusion.

    Yeah……..No!

I really hope all you said happens just do you can blow your already boiling lid

I was pretty much going to write this exact comment but you already nailed it. I’ll pass just like I will for the new Mermaid. How bout someone comes up with an idea that isn’t a piggy bag or a remake. Otherwise I’m out!

    3. Ash

Hahaha, you are my hero! 😂

  3. Tiger

Lol message boards can be brutal man. Soooo much anger!

I don’t think anything will change. The movies have become too iconic as the books themselves. The show will also have to prove itself. Universal has nothing to worry about.

      Tempest in a teapot.

  4. Liliana

It would cost Universal way too much money to try a change a whole themed area, especially while they’re already constructing a changes to the current parks plus a whole brand new park. They won’t do it.

Yes J.K. is so controversial. – she says men cannot become women – which is a biological fact. I think they should re-theme WW into A Princess Tiana ride – just consult with Mr. Iger I am sure he can help destroy your franchise.

Chill out Brandon. Life’s not all about catering to your hate and vitriol. If you don’t like it, don’t go… simple. Just like if you don’t like a TV show, don’t watch it. As for the parks, I don’t see any major changes forthcoming based on a SUPPOSED series that may or may not succeed. Even if it does succeed, we’re more likely to just see some new rides or new section than a total overhaul of one of their most popular attractions. Why shoot yourself in the foot over a maybe? Nobody will ever successfully supplant Daniel, Emma and Rupert. It’s more likely to simply be grudgingly accepted, “but not the REAL Harry Potter”.

I’m grateful she says what she thinks.

Despite the author being very long winded, I don’t agree with his premise. In an age of remakes, let’s agree that that’s essentially what the new series is..it’s not a “reboot”. I will agree that the Harry Potter series has been sewn into the fabric of each of us who’s seen the movies, but for that reason, if the series is simply a rehash of the movies, as stated in the article, it won’t succeed. Everyone will be comparing it to the originals…but if it were entirely new content, it has a chance. This is also the biggest problem Disney has with their live action films. Those that have succeeded were faithful adaptations but with added new content to further the storyline. Furthermore, the idea that Universal has a problem with its park, I don’t think their sweating. The imagery comes from the books and with Universal’s history of finding happy mediums for rides based on movies, I think they’re pros.

Men are male. Women are female. Period. One can never be the other. You are one of the two.

There. With that controversy out of the way, get on with your life.

They need to stop adding to the Harry Potter universe! I refuse to read The Cursed Child, because from all I’ve heard it was a complete departure from the original books. Why J.K. Rowling allowed it, I can’t imagine, but it was so disappointing. I was ok with the first Fantastic Beasts film, the second one kinda sucked, and I had no interest in the 3rd. I’ve read the book series many, many times and watched the films based on them. I am a huge fan of the original books, but I refuse to let any of the ridiculous crap that came later destroy that world for me. Enough already, stop changing things!!

One could say that there are 3 genders.mail, female, and confused.

They’ll never change anything… the series has just been announced and the logo is the same, the castle is the same and with the announcement that the cast will be more diverse normies that are overwhelmingly tired of wokeism being forced down their throaths have already started a war against this reboot.

The series will bomb just like amazon’s rings of power and for exactly the same reasons.

    1. Luzita

I think the exact opposite. WB will make a latino or asian Harry, a black Hermione and a white Ron. They will have non binary, Trans, handicap, gay, etc way over represented so that they prove they don’t agree with JK. Mark it, this movie will be the wokest of the woke!

There is absolutely no reason to go changing parks around to accommodate the newer HP versions. The first Harry Potter movies are classic, and Universal studios should stick with that. I absolutely love the way it is all set up now, and look forward to the new addition.

To be completely honest, and as a long standing fan of Harry Potter since I was like 4. I’m not excited for any sort of adaptation/ a tv-series, because I just know it’s not going to have the same feel as the movies with THOSE actors/actresses.
Also, I wanted to point out that the video game, Hogwarts Legacy, tried very hard to stray from associating with J.K. Rowling, because they knew of the controversies.

    1. Elizabeth

I suppose to say that J.K. Rowling had no “bringing in the audience”, it was only for the live of the universe. At least, that’s how I see it.

  11. Ziba

They didn’t change the Men black or mummy ride because of sequels or reboots!!!!

  12. Maxdeeps

You have a serious getting to the point issue

This is a stream and honestly a little bit dramatic. Just because Warner Brothers makes a new version of something doesn’t mean the other version doesn’t exist. There will always be fans of the original books and there will always be fans of the movie franchise. Just like with the Disney and the countless live action remakes they do. Just because they make a live action remake of a movie doesn’t mean they change every character and ride in the theme park to fit the new live action version. I don’t think anything will change at universal. I think they might add things and update things if the show is successful and tied them all together in a way. But they aren’t going to demolish the wizarding world at universal just because they release a new version in TV show form then not everybody will have access to.

Especially since it’s releasing on a platform that not everybody has access to like they would with books or a movie theater.

    😆😆😆😆😆

  16. Chris

Maybe rather than a reboot/rewrite, they should tell the story of what happened between the time Voldermort left Hogwarts and the night he goes after baby Harry.

  17. shuichi (he/she)

they should just remove these entirely. there’s no reason to have an entire land dedicated to a transphobic genocidal lunatic. and before you say “she herself has no influence” she absolutely does. this entire franchise is the way she raises money to attack the trans community, and she needs to have her money stripped from her immediately, including these hideous lands.

  18. No. You Don’t Wanna Destroyed Wizarding World. You Never Destroyed. Wizarding World Is Saved Universal Studios. I Gotta Fight & Kicking Your Butt & Throw Your Out.

  19. Mike

Universal Orlando still has the Marvel area, even after Disney buying Marvel back in the day. This isn’t changing anything. What a waste of an article. Half of it was just talking about the history of the Wizarding World. Get to the point faster next time.

  20. Mad

This could have been one paragraph. What a disgusting waste of time and resources.

  21. Ash

Personally I wish the film industry would just let masterpieces be and move on. Stop trying to continually repeat a film’s success with your neverending, unnecessary additions. For those looking forward to the potential series, happy for you, but I for one will continue to honor the 8-movie franchise and nothing else. ✌🏻
