Sometimes it’s just easier for celebrities or a business with money to negotiate a settlement rather than wasting their time on or even acknowledging the bogus suits. Well the thing about that dump truck is that pedestrians always have the right of way as long as there is a reasonable consciousness of vehicular traffic on the part of the pedestrian. But with that said, the driver can only be charged if it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they were driving recklessly or with intent to harm. The worst that could possibly come of it would be a wrongful death lawsuit that the plaintiff probably won’t even win.
That is not necessarily true. Pedestrians only have the right of way if they are in a crosswalk, and they are not crossing against a red sign. If he was in the crosswalk and was crossing with the green sign and the dump truck hit him, then that is the fault of the dump truck driver. If he was in the crosswalk and crossing against the red crosswalk sign, that is not the dump truck drivers fault, because the dump truck driver has reasonable expectation that a pedestrian will not be in the crosswalk when the driver himself has a green light.

Well the thing about that dump truck is that pedestrians always have the right of way as long as there is a reasonable consciousness of vehicular traffic on the part of the pedestrian. But with that said, the driver can only be charged if it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they were driving recklessly or with intent to harm. If he was in the crosswalk and was crossing with the green sign and the dump truck hit him, then that is the fault of the dump truck driver. I personally had experience in my line of work of a female, now in prison for life, who had her children removed because 2 of them were born addicted to meth. She went through treatment & custody was returned. One of them died but they couldn’t prove anything, until she gave birth to a 3rd child who they DID prove that she killed even, though she had been warned multiple times to NOT have the baby in bed w/her.
Well, she got high & passed out on the baby & smothered it. Baby was 4 months old. I believe the first child she killed this way was only 2 months. Yeah. I’m sure it was someone like you demanding that she be allowed to be a mother her own way without any interference from the rest of the world.

Claims like this can be common with people who have severe untreated cases of bipolar or schizophrenia. She clearly isn’t well. We had a lady who use to come into one of my old jobs back in st. Louis who claimed that she use to be a model and that August Busch (of Anheizer-Busch) was obsessed with her and paying people to break into her hotel rooms to steal her underwear (which she apparently moved a lot due to these delusions). She also claimed to be close to the heads of Washington University and promised all of.us who were younger that she was going to get us all in for free. There’s always a small shred of reality with these delusions, like with the customer at my work she probably did some modeling when she was younger and probably had a friend who worked for washU but the rest was just an extreme that her mind had told her was real. It’s sad really. The wrestler probably had custody issues with the state and they were threatening to take her kids and her brain told her everyone was in on it.

I’m not trying to defend her in any way, but it sounds like she might have mental health issues such as Post Pardon Depression and needs the proper treatment and support system. If her children were forcefully removed from her care, it could have sent her overboard.
Some parents, especially mothers, take the loss of a child harder than most fathers do. Could it have been handled differently from the beginning? It could have; otherwise, it wouldn’t have become a cold case.
I know I might sound like a know-it-all, but I’ve been an avid fan of anything related to Law Enforcement on TV in the movies and some of which unfold in real life. I know not everything in those shows is accurate, but some of it very much is, I know because I’m a researcher in my spare time and study things so when there is a crime mentioned in said show or movie (forgot to mention movies earlier ) I’ll start looking it up for each state trying to figure out what bail could be for said offense or the worst outcome prison for how long is he convicted for 15-45 years 18- Life or even Life Without the Possibility of Parole/Probation

If this turns out to be bogus, I hope that this accuser and her attorney get prosecuted and that the Rock sues Disney into oblivion. Disney dumped Depp and now the Rock before anything went to trial.
