The last time I went to Six Flags was the very last time. After waiting on line for an hour, some folks (about 50) came with their fast pass things, and we had to wait another long time to get on. Their speed pass starts at $90. Do they think they’re Disney or something?
The closest 6flags to me is Darien lake six flags in Ny. Those that run it are a joke. The security there is awful. We used to bring a small water bag to put water bottles in. I did it all yr then they tell me I can bring it in but if I put it in a bag that’s OK. They say I can’t bring it in but yet I watched 3 other people walk in with coolers with wheels. They tell me they have an excuse. A cooler is a cooler. Then half the rides are down. The ride staff are rude as hell. Then they want you to pay with a card which if you don’t use all they charge you for it. We had cards with a few dollars on them and they said we can’t use those cards because it wasn’t the amount of the stuff purchased. So since they wouldn’t take the partial on that card so we can pay the difference the amount was taken in there monthly charge. We will never go back as long as Six flags owns that park. They ruined it. Big signs say no Marijuana on property inside the park but yet the guards don’t stop the use when they are in the park smoking it right in front of them. Then they charge for freight fest to walk into the park to ride rides when it was included any other yr. It’s trash. By the time it takes to go to that park to find out half the rides don’t open I rather go to a smaller family friendly amusement park that all rides are open.
Agreed. Six Flags Darien Lake is the worst! We were “Diamond Elite” Members, which was the highest/most expensive membership the offered back when they started doing memberships…but we never received any of the upgraded perks we paid for.. park was run poorly and an absolute joke. Those memberships basically meant we spent a whole lot of money, even paid monthly bills every month, throughout the entire park closure with COVID, and still received garbage. I hope Six Flags goes bankrupt, they are awful. We cancelled our memberships and have not been back to the park since the end of the 2021 Season. I hope a quality company comes in and brings Darien Lake and the other Six Flag parks back to their former glory, because the current state of affairs is a bad joke.
On fright fest its doubled 90 for regular, 120 for gold, and 140 for platinum… thats just for that one day… lol you guys are a joke… im a platinum season pass and flass pass holder… i do it for my daughter she loves Halloween ., last years fright fest was weak… so instead of paying for that one day for 140 i got the 199 platinum season flash pass for both of us , so 400 bucks for that. I hate lines… its a rip off but my daughter is happy and we ball
The wait times for lines are so ridiculous that it’s just not fun to go. The fast passes are infuriating when you’ve already been waiting forever. Most of the food is closed. The kiddie rides are always closed. There is just no reason to go. We used to be season pass holders.
Our family has a whole have been gold pass members for atleast 13 years, maybe longer, the season pass prices and dining prices have gone up significantly and don’t even offer as much as it used to, including fright fest. We used to get the dining plans which included a meal at lunch and a meal at dinner, and one snack, now you get one meal and pay more. Sad to say we are no longer pass holders
I’ve had a season pass for decades until now. The lines and prices are ridiculous. The ‘increased’ customer experience is not real as they just keep cutting staff as park attendance plummets.
The season passes are too expensive and hardly give you anything. Now they are only good till labor day. No cup included and no merchandise was cut last year without even telling season pass holders. The dinng plan is way too expensive. There is very little to choose from if they are even open. The operating hours have been cut. I bought a season pass for this year but most likely wont next year. Most of the stores are not open.
How about running some sort of deal on memberships this year. I have been a season pass/ membership owner for over 28 years and your prices are keeping my family of 5 out of your parks unless you run a deal. I have transitioned to Cedar Fair parks. Same price and to be honest…..better thrills.
The animal and other shows at Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo are excellent. The staff are super. The waits are generally excellent, except last President’s day the food lines were an hour long. The Pass prices and benefits are horrible. Nothing like before Covid.
I have had season passes for me and my son for the past 2 years. We have gone more in the past 2 years than I have since I was his age (13). We are in Irving, Texas and Six Flags is only about 15 minutes from us. When I first bought our passes, we got season passes for Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor and parking passes for both for $69 each. Then when I got them for the next season I only paid $49 each. Now they don’t offer the season pass like we had. Now I will have to get a membership and to get what we had it will be $150 each. But as far as the park itself, it is great. There have been a couple of times that it was too crowded, but most of the time the lines aren’t too bad. We sometimes have to park a long ways out, but they have trollies that take you to the front. We love going. And we really live Holiday in the Park.
I used to buy season passes, and me and my son would go to the Six Flags in Georgia, the lines are always long and the flash pass people irritates us, but the worst thing was the disrespectful teens that would break in line with their friends and nothing ever got said about it. Haven’t been in 3 years now.
I was a season pass holder and meal pass holder for 10 years. However, now they have just ruined everything.
FLASHBACK 2 years ago before Bassoul the fool
The season pass used to give you free parking, merchandise discount, and entry to all parks. The dining pass used to give you 2 meals, a snack, and a drink cup.
NOW, they split it up and only give you all the same original benefits if you buy the highest season pass. Then, they think they are geniuses by now making all meal plans (@triple the original cost) include only lunch and dinner but now you have to wait three hours between them instead of 2 hours you had to wait last year. Oh, and a insult to everyone’s intelligence is they now don’t include the drink cup or the snack in the dining pass. In case you missed that, you have to get the highest membership to now get the drink cup.
In comparison 2 years ago the season pass and meal pass was maybe $100 (a little over)
Today to get all the same benefits as before 2 years ago you need to spend $300…… oh never mind its almost the same but you don’t get the snack anymore and you have to wait 3 hours between meals.
Comments for Six Flags’ Attendance and Revenue Are PLUMMETING
