I think it may be a stretch to speculate that Rita “kills” Trini while she’s in her Ranger suit. The trailer appears to take canon into consideration, and the presence of Aisha would mean that Trini would’ve already given her powers to Aisha.
I feel it’s more likely that Rita will probably “kill” Trini sometime in the past AFTER she gave her morpher to Aisha. Let’s be honest here — it’s extremely unlikely that Rita could KILL a Ranger while they had their powers. More the point, why would Trini be a Ranger again? If Rita were to go back in time and kill Trini while she’s a Ranger, then how would Aisha still fit into the mix? She, Rocky, and Adam all received their powers from Trini, Jason, and Zack at the same time.
