She didn’t just leave suddenly. She has a lot of clout and power at Marvel as a second in command. Leaving suddenly is a euphemism for “being fired.” Kevin Feige probably threw her under the bus, or his head will roll.
That’s the cost of being a boss. Comic movies – above all – are rooted in their visuals. No point in bringing them to life if you can’t do it well. These latest offerings, however, have also suffered from STORY deficits, so accountability should go beyond just one incompetent leftist.
She didn’t abandon her post. Yes she was fired. But over 200 executives in the last year have either been fired or resigned. Hollywood Lost More Than $500 Billion in Market Value in 2022, and is desperately trying to offset that which is expected to take 5-10 years. Marvel was on top when it was using its A-list superheroes, but it has not done a good job using it’s B & C list characters. Shang Chi and the Eternals was a poor choice. Turning Thor and the Hulk into comedians was a bad choice. Making the Falcon Captain America is another poor choice. There’s almost too much standalone conceptualization, forcing one b-list solo character to cary a whole film. Blade should have been combined with Moebius and come under the Marvel banner, for example. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Victoria Alonzo, Kevin Feige, Bob Eigeror James Gunn. The era of big budget movies, tv shows, and horriblly-selected reboots is coming to an end.
Lol. She was let go…
She didn’t leave. Lol.
And claiming in the news she left was just part of the severance pay most likely.
Good riddance. Now let’s get Kenedy out of Lucasfilms and we can all be happy and move along.
Your “journalistic” writing is awful. Any high school journalist knows you don’t bury your own lead 6 paragraphs into your article. This isn’t random criticism, you’re losing readers by burying your “news” under just filler context. I’ve clicked on probably 8-9 articles of yours and have NEVER gotten past the first two paragraphs. Burying your lead is no more a tactic for reader retention than revealing your protagonist in the third act. Instead of stringing people along, they will just leave, especially since you’re not breaking any of the news. People can and will find it elsewhere. Make your job easier and keep readers by exercising brevity and efficient writing.

This article implies that she left on her own accord. She was fired for running Marvel studios into the ground

Maybe if they didn’t treat their VFX artists like slaves, they wouldn’t have this problem.

She got fired due to breaching her contract with Disney, by being a producer and promoting Amazon’s “Argentina, 1985”.
