I think you’re right as to the character/story line not needing a love interest (sister notwithstanding). If the franchise continues to grow, perhaps her prince will be an advantge.
Considering that in the last book in the franchise, “Polar Nights”, Elsa literally has a thought advocating that independent women able to take care of themselves can have romance if they want to, I think believing Elsa having a romantic partner would ruin the character is literally going against character as Elsa herself defends her having romance wouldn’t ruin her.
As a father of 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters, it’s important for young women and women in general to have a strong role model, especially young impressionable females to look up to. Keeping her strong and independent helps for them to see what they can due on their own. Disney has shown in past, not all characters need a partner. If you want fans to turn off Forzen, adding LGBTQ will thaw it out faster then a blow dryer on an ice cube. Please Disney, not all films or characters need to be “woke” and LBGTQ. FYI: I’m a big community supporter for LGBTQ in my town and wife and I support them openly.
Disney is just trying to please the woke mob with lesbian Elsa and when was the last time you saw a little girl talk about being lesbian? So yeah this is a bad idea. Like Song of the South bad.
Disney should leave Elsa as she is and create a new character, if they want to cater to the 3%’ers. But, Disney will shoot themselves in the foot, cater and cave to the “large portion of fanbase” as the article states, and give her a girlfriend.

Is there some edict that states every Disney production has to have LGBTQ representation?

Why they have to get involved with gender, leave her at it is for God’s sake.
