  1. Good news, it HAS to be the Winter Soldier. I always thought Stan’s character was underused.

    1. John S.

It does seem like the most logical choice.

Since Disney took over the Marvel TV shows and Movies sucks

  2. Phillysub

Don’t get too excited. MCU will find a way to screw this up!

    1. Ryu

      They always do

    2. Screwed Up

The billions and billions in revenue contradicts anything being screwed up. We’d all be lucky to screw up like Marvel.

    3. Grace Rupp

And yet you’ll still get baited to pay up.

One, who cares? I couldn’t care less if Bucky Barnes becomes the new “Iron Man”. Although I find this decision rather ludicrous. And two, from whom did you get this information? No one else has reported it and your information regarding “Ant-Man 3” and “The Marvels” proved to be erroneous.

You left out Thor and the new Captain America ( Anthony Mackey) from this list. What’s wrong with you!! They are the Avengers. Do the right thing, people!!

Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent???
He turned into a BAD guy, killed innocent people, also Red Guardian, these folks along with Bucky (under the influence) are not the innocent Avengers of Ironman, Thor, Captain America who were not super heroes with a tarnished past. Bring in Dr Strange, Silver Surfer, Spiderman, and Hulk, maybe even people from Fantastic Four, like the Human Torch (johnny) to be America’s Avengers.

That’s the whole point and a continuation of Bucky’s origins. In three context of The Howling Commandos, Bucky took on the roll of the one who could do what Captain America couldn’t; the ops that Steve couldn’t dirty his hands with. That’s exactly what Thunderbolts are: the ones who can handle the dirty, murky ops. They’ll handle what someone like Captain America, Spider-Man, and Stephen Strange optically can’t.
Bucky is perfect to lead them after being Steve’s right hand in the Howling Commandos, who were known for being hard to wrangle back in their day. He learned from the best.

        Agree with you, bruh.

  5. Chris

Robert Downey Jr. will always be Iron Man.

    1. Christopherrobin

Wait, marvel is picking a character that is layered, complex, backstoried &relatable cuz hes not an omniscient and omnipotent Mary sue character that’s unbeatable & perfect cuz she’s a she.. or a anything other than a white male.. cuz white men are beta cucks in marvel now. Not leaders. Ill believe it when I see it

  6. Lol

No one’s going to replace iron man, especially not a character who was a toy for Steve’s plot.

  7. Jack Dis

His character is also the only one on the new team with a fully adult EQ lol.

The idea has potential but as usual expect them to mess it up. Because that’s what Disney’s best at. Don’t get it twisted. If this true(which it probably isn’t) Making the Winter soldier the face of the MCU would be a great start considering How lack luster the MCU has been. But As a god of war once said: keep your expectations low and you will never be disappointed.

  9. Charles

Do it sebinbatch your the next cap American if sam dont what it period theres is no other capt period. No one else can play him like natty. But her sister

  10. Mick

Why leave Falcon out of this?

    1. HaloHunter

Bro, Falcon was never an ex-villain. It’s the whole point of Thunderbolts. He doesn’t need to redeem himself for past wrongdoings. Look at the roster. Compare it to the comic book versions.

As the leader of that team, makes sense. As the new iron man?… nope. That formula had been used, do something new and unpredictable. Everything now is predictable… end credits eggs are boring… I remember seeing Thors hammer on an end credit and was excited… don’t get that anymore.

Actually i find the premise of this article rather silly to begin with. When they’re all together, it’s Steve Rogers who calls the shots, not Tony Stark. This was evident from the beginning, just when they were “assembling” to fight Loki’s forces. Guess who also called the shots in the opening fight sequence in the sequel? And who also called “Assemble” in Endgame, as he did in the comics?

Also, those who think it’s ridiculous for Bucky Barnes to take the lead or for Walker to even be in the team probably have never read the comic books. The Thunderbolts was a team of villains given a shot by Ross. It’s like the Marvel equivalent to DC’s Suicide Squad.

Bucky is the obvious choice to lead ex-villains & keep them in check. In the MCU, he has the most experience & has proven his worth a number of times.

I’d like to add that the presence of someone like Walker will keep people guessing whether he’ll be a loose cannon or turn against them. In the comics, it’s a whole bunch of Walkers.

    1. Stephen

Or how about War Machine to replace Iron Man?

  13. Janes88

    Juanita, calm down.

Bucky, for your information, is one of the most beloved characters in the MCU fandom. So, one, a lot of people care.

    And two, take a Xanax.

  14. Stephen

Or how about War Machine to replace Iron Man?

  15. Suzanne F

    Your screwing with something good!

  16. Dominique Bast

WINTER SOLDIER. BADASSS. I agree that he should be the leader. Hated how falcon/winter soldier was. They down played his gifts.Captain American was stronger but Winter Soldier was better trained. Hell he trained black widows, spider wolfs . They lean more on his arm instead of skills. As far as replacing RDj no . But a leadr yes.
