All of the Marvel sequels have been horrible under Chapek – from Thor 4 to Doctor Strange 2, Wakanda Forever (sorry I’m a huge Black Panther fan but this sequel was a huge mess) and now Ant Man 2 & 3. They’re just jumbled, dark, miserable, dumpster fires. They need a big shake up at Marvel.

Chapek’s been gone for months now, which doesn’t mean anything since he has nothing to do with the movie side of things, anyway (and the plot for this was started before he was hired–the movie and title were announced in 2019…before Chapek was hired. Ant-Man 2 was announced and filmed well before Chapek was in charge. He was not good at his job, but it’s probably not fair to blame him for things he had nothing to do with…

Critics missed the mark on this one–the audience score for AM3 is more in line with how this movie really plays. It’s fun, creative, SHORT, and Jonathan Majors is excellent.
