I know this is stupid, but after reading that whole article, I still don’t understand the difference between IP and non-IP attractions. Can someone please put it in really simple language? 😂
I’d like to see less sterilization at the resorts that get a refurb, and more of the IP theming. It’s why we pay extra, to be part of the Disney bubble.
Walt Disney, his imagineers and the imagineers that followed were able to create memorable and imaginative park attractions without depending on studio IP all of the time. Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Expedition Everest . . . the list goes on. What is this heavy dependency on Disney IP for all of its rides? I find this lacking in any real imagination. I don’t mind if some rides and park sections are based on Disney IP. But all of it? This organization is going down the tubes.

I don’t want more IP theming. I just want more theming without any reliance on Disney IP.
