Disney must go back to what Disney was best at years ago which would make Walt happy!

Same at Disneyland. “Magic” has been replaced with greed. Now only the rich jump the lines. Lower, middle class families can’t afford it. It’s actually quite disgusting. Bring back fastpass, magicpass.

Yep. Did not enjoy Disney World for the first time ever. It just seemed like the whole place was different. Genie was a waste, EPCOT was a giant party for Floridians with cheap annual passes, and it was just not worth it. I totally agree about the phone thing.

We all had to recoup from the Covid shutdown, and yes some changes had to be made. With this said, Disney has used that to make changes that made this company “unmagical.” Disney catered to the people prior and still made money. Now they are catering to themselves and oushing agendas, instead of the concept that Mr. Walt wanted for families…a place of fun for both children and adults alike. Now adults get frustrated from heat and cost and dealing with Genie therefore making it where the children aren’t happy either.
Disney is bringing back Mr. Walt in a hologram, they need to bring back his original concept…fun for all and no political/ social agendas. Just a place to escape reality.

Disney hasn’t been the same since the p(l)andemic. They had the same lockdown rules as California almost.

they need to get rid of park reservations and have genie plus work like fast pass. I wouldn’t mind paying for genie plus if I didn’t need to make a park reservation and it worked like the old fast pass. This way I could be spontaneous on my trip again and not have to be glued to my phone.

Iger has said they are listening to its guests. How so? The majority of guests all say the same thing, “Genie+ and the reservation system has to go!” Yet Iger won’t let loose of the cash cow’s udders. He claims it’s for guests to have an enhanced Disney experience, but in the same breath has also said he can control the amount of staff that is on hand to make it an enhanced experience. That’s a pretty telling statement of what Iger is really about. Control the staff = control the payroll bills.

I remember well October 1971 and what it meant. We waited until the following spring to go in order to avoid the crowds. As locals, we always felt fortunate that WDW was just a half hour drive away. But the magic didn’t continue. Without Walt ‘s dreaming and Roy’s financial mind, the whole thing was doomed to failure. It’s been 51 years since the place opened. We locals wish Disney would pack up the whole thing and just leave our state!
