Basically everyone has seen and knows of all the people who have found loads of ways to cheat and beat the system. So, all you cheaters out there, congrats on ruining it for everybody, just like ALWAYS!!!! It probably would have been good but it’s gone now. Mouse jigglers are one big problem but there are countless others.

The only part of the employee’s complaint that I agree with is the moving to Florida part. We do not want an influx of Californian’s moving into Florida.

Not looking to class up the state from the existing trash that lives in Florida?

You could give me a house free and clear in Florida and tell you’d pay me 100k and I laugh in your face. I wouldn’t want to live in Florida if the rest of the US was going under water.

Go back to work in the office, or find employment elsewhere. All of that word salad sounded like self serving, liberal whining. Not the mouses fault you moved further away from the office, had a kid or sold a car. Why did you get rid of your business attire and will now have to buy new? Did you really expect to work remotely forever? Time to buck up and get back in there.

Except every study out there points to productivity being better for remote workers. Same as how goal based shorter work weeks are more highly efficient than time based ones. Think of how much time people screw around on breaks etc when in an office. I know you boomers don’t like to let facts mess up your argument but it’s antiquated thinking. Course Iger is a Boomer so I’m guessing he will stay with the antiquated thinking. Just hope you don’t lose the talented ones.

Boohoo. Imagine having to work in n person like the rest of us poor people. I’ll get out my tiny violin.

I work for Disney as a software engineer and this mandate is incredibly low resolution and doesn’t take into account the role of the employee. Since they kicked us out of the office over two years ago due to covid hysteria, the team I work on has not only continued to produce, it has arguably started producing more efficiently.

Even before the pandemic nonsense I was looking for a way to advocate to the higher ups for more flexibility for the tech workers. Having to commute an hour and a half or more one way only to be forced into an ultra distracting open office environment always felt extremely inefficient. I would literally arrive at the office and then immediately proceed to put earbuds in blasting white noise so I could try to get work done without being randomized and distracted with the constant buzz of activity right near my desk.

Never once did I feel like being onsite was helpful in allowing me to get my job done day to day, in fact it was a productivity reducer. Fast forward and now after a couple of corporate acquisitions I find myself working more and more with other engineers that are distributed geographically all over the world.

Forcing tech workers into an office setup is exactly what I would do as an executive if I wanted to reduce productivity and velocity. Although given the fact that Bob Iger seems intent on running the company into the ground in the name of wokeness nothing would surprise me.

    Iger’s response would be
    See ya.

Those who don’t want to go back to work in person get a grip, quit acting like babies.
There are some people would love to be in your spot.

      You’re absolutely correct!

These comments are hilarious. Everyone hates change. Go to the office, work from home – so funny. Will be curious to see if Disney innovate with the times or stay in the past. Either way everyone else is adapting and focusing on more important matters.

Oh my…office, Mr Coffee, badges, rolodex, floppy disk, windows 98, cube farm, Xerox, free lunch, hour commute, break rooms, stealing lunches, water coolers, time clocks, nosy co security software running in the back ground, more managers than workers. Forget about all that boomer tech. Thats old school and its going to put you out of business. Think laptops, working from home, personal time, quick process, 24/7 hour work schedules world wide, little to no office space, task type work to be done by deadlines. Thats the new way of doing business and its only going to grow. Been doing it for 11 years and everyone is happy, very productive and things get done on time. Just have to do it right.

  8. I would like to know how Bob Iger is planning to change guest experience. The first time we were at Disney World it was the most amazing experience ever. It was so obvious how much effort went into guest experience. The second time we were there after Bob Chapek took over, guest experience was terrible . It became obvious that the dollar was the real goal and not guest experience. The heated pools were cold, the food portions small, even the high dollar restaurants like the Yacht Club Steak house had poor service and small portions. The absence of the meal plan made the trip stressful. If our first experience had been like our 2nd experience, we would have never went back a second time.
