I’m afraid the over 94,000 people are right.

    1. Angela Roberts

Splash Mountain has been one of favorite rides since I was a kid. To change it would completely ruin everything. Please leave it the way it is.

      1. Lisa Benson

I sm saddened by the retheme of Splash Mountain. Always a favorite, please don’t change it.

      2. No Angela. Grow up

    2. Jess

Splash mountain has been my favorite ride and always wanted to ride it I finally as an adult get to ride it but now it’s shut down. I am against this 100%. We need the Disney we fell in love with when we were kids. Leave splash mountain up and running.

      1. Kevin

Don’t mess with it! And release Song of the South on DVD!

    3. No name

Leave splash mountain alone it is awesome!

  2. Disney fan

They really should leave Splash alone, there’s nothing problematic about a rabbit outsmarting a fox and a bear. Give Tiana a new ride or restaurant controversy free to add to the parks that are crowded instead of replacing something so iconic and beloved.

    1. Edward

Wait until Disney is accused of hidden gender or ethnicity issues with…Rabbit🐇,Fox🦊 and Bear🐻!!! Remember no more Ladies👩&Gentlemen👨or Boys🧒and Girls👧!!

      1. Steve

Disney is blgoted for destroying this furry ride. Furries unite and cancel Disney.

      2. Enough’s enough Disney!! From raising the price of tickets through the roof to out price the middle class!! Then having to make reservations after you buy tickets making it more confusing to go then it’s worth!! Eliminating fastpass to go to having to pay for a genie$$$$$ then have a restrictions on attendance all still cost the same take it away things but raising the price$$$
And now changing rides that we’ve all grown up with brought our kids to ride now our kids starting to bring their kids !!I’ We’ve had enough!! nice knowing you Disney !!Good luck I don’t see much of a future for you can’t wait to see universals new expansion!!
What do you think Walt would be saying about all this change I don’t think he was out to cause a family to go into debt to go to a magical place where dreams use to be made!!
Not a place that puts you in the poor house!!

    2. Angel

I just recently went to Disneyland with my family. We’ve been taking our girls for years. Splash Mountain is or favorite ride. I was so sad knowing that this year was the last time I would ride Splash Mountain and see all those adorable critters. I cried the whole time. And when they took the picture in the end, I showed a heart on my hands through tears 😭 Very sad! Where can I sign to stop this!!!!!! Please!!!!!😭

      1. Elizabeth

Look at change.com there is lots of petitions for this

    3. Tim Stevens

I grew up watching Disney either on television or going to the movie theater. As an adult I have taken my family to Disney World every year for 22 years in a row. My opinion is the Magic Kindom experience will not be the same without Splash Mountain as it is and has been. Don’t retheme just add a new ride or show to give the Princess and the Frog it’s own recognition for all Disney fans to enjoy.

    4. Bill

Save the Splash! So much fun and tied to the very beginnings of Disney entertainment. Award winning music. Don’t go “Woke”

    5. Chip

I thoroughly agree with Disney Fan, leave the still popular, iconic Splash Mountain in place, tweak what you really feel necessary and then give Tiana her own attraction, though I don’t think the movie was actually strong or “classic” enough to merit one (I could be wrong), if a quota must be filled…change is always better

  3. M

99.9% have no problem with #SplashMountain. Leave it alone

    1. K

We just got back from. Disneyland and we are pass holders and go all the time and 1 of our favorite rides is splash mountain and we are heartbroken that they are thinking of replacing it.k

      1. TRACEY BLOUNT

.Too late to stop the woke rot ,it’s already set in .If they were not doing this it ,would be something else. The many are being forced to change for the few.I hope those few mange to keep all the executives in the greedy lifestyle they have become accustomed to.

        1. L Kile

Go full speed ahead with retheming!
Splash Mountain has always been a mediocre ride. They just recycled “America Sings” Characters which was a sub-par attraction. It’s finally time to redo it and create a great water flume ride. Don’t worry, you will love the new version.

  4. Aziel

Bob Iger will announce that Splash Mountain will not retheme this ride because it was his mistakes for retheme this ride and he wants to build Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and new restuarant which is base on Princess And The Frog instead

  5. Wendy

Please leave splash mountain. We come the United Kingdom to Disney and we love splash mountain so much. My two boys have autism and go on loads of times. Why change it if loads of people enjoy the ride to. Please listen to us .

    1. Ronald

Leave splash mountain!! Why change something so loved by many to pamper to the few? I have been coming to Disney world for 40 years and I am tired of changes being made just because some group is crying over something that offends them Walt is rolling over in his grave . He was about magic and wonder and now disney is about politics. You ha e plenty if room to grow so build new rides quit replacing classics .

  6. Rroe

Going to be hard to clean up the mistakes made by previous Bob Paycheck. He was a lover of WOKE and ruined Disney for years to come. Iger is just a temporary fill in and will be gone in two years or so. Not enough time to correct all the damage Bob Paycheck has caused. Good Luck Disney……you have a monumental task. Hopefully Disney has learned a lesson…..we’ll see.

    1. Anonymous

Bob might probably be gone sooner than two years, cause of the amount they’ve been losing, just like Chapek. After all, Chapek was set for 3 years after this year, but what happened later this November? He’s history for his errors.

    2. Steve

Iger is the one who started all of this. Chapek was in charge for less than a year and Iger was still on payroll during that. The goal was for him to take Iger’s sins with him and you’re letting him do just that.

    3. Dachande

Actually Bob Iger is the one who made the retheme happen. I seriously doubt he is going to undo his decision. Iger has always been a big voice in the woke movement. Bob Chapek was the one Disney employees got angry at for not being woke enough.

  7. John Costanza

Not happy at all, how do I sign the petition?

  8. Karen

Leave Splash Mountain the way it is. I always felt that it was pure Disney and loved it. I never thought of it as being offensive. Disney needs to stop listening to the few woke individuals and their agenda and instead listen to the majority who love Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox and the other characters. I am tired of the wokeness snd corporations falling into this trap.

    1. Tosp

Such a Karen thing to say

  9. Linda

Please do not shut down Splash Mountain!!! It is the favorite ride of my entire family!!! We look forward to riding it every time we go to Disney World!

  10. Bert

    People! Really?! Get over it.
    Such a big nothing burger

    1. Anonymous

Buzz off you. Let them do what they must.

      1. BERT

        Don’t be a baby!

        1. Anonymous

On the contrary, you stop behaving like the baby you are.

          1. Steve

Nick (posts under Bert after I made fun of him) is a career baby.

          2. Anonymous

Says the career baby. You wasted your breath, and it won’t get you anywhere.

        2. Jack

It’s woke. “Let’s replace zip-a-dee-doo-dah from the slave movie with whatever song from the movie that promotes evil, black magic and voodoo. Yeah that’s inclusive!” These people are nutter than a squirrel’s birthday cake.

  11. Barbara Rea

I think they should leave splash mountain alone.I want to visit Disneyland. But it wouldnt be any fun without splash mountain. Please leave splash mountain alone!

  12. Jean

I agree that it should remain the same. They are changing it for the wrong reasons.

  13. Dan

Yeah, already nearly 5 times the amount of people have signed the “leave it alone” petition versus the “retheme” campaign. Retheming a Disney mountain ride to a movie set in New Orleans takes stupid to a whole new level. Louisiana barely has a mountain (Driskell), it’s more of a hill at 500 feet above sea level. Disney is talking about a massive expansion to Magic Kingdom — give Tiana her own NEW ride, instead of leftovers.

    1. ThisIsNuts

I live a hour from there and they don’t have any mountains. Actually most of New Orleans is now considered under sea level. We love splash mountain and are very disappointed by the changes. If they just HAD to change it they could have used Pocahontas since it fits the land better and there is a scene with her in a log coming over a waterfall.

  14. Splash Mountain should definitely stay!!!!!

  15. Renee

    Leave Splash Mountain alone!!

  16. Anonymous

We’re almost to 95,000 signatures now. It was like 94,765 signatures in 7 am today, and now it is 94,973.

  17. Mickeymouse3

Disney does not care what the majority wants. They’ve already shown they only cater to the 3 percenters.

    1. Anonymous

It will only cost the dearly to failure.

  18. John

I’m excited for the change and think the update will be great. In Disneyland it will fit into New Orleans square perfectly (my favorite area). I rode Splash Mountain in September and it was looking really ragged and run down.

    1. Dan

Yeah, you’re a genius. Retheming Splash “Mountain” to a film set in New Orleans makes a lot sense (not). Obviously, everyone vacations in New Orleans to go hiking on all their Mountains. Nothing says Louisiana Bayou like a giant concrete mountain. Disney’s biggest problem lately is that they pander to mind-numbingly moronic people like you.

    2. AG

This is gonna fall as flat as the complaints people had over Maelstrom. Frozen Ever After is now one of the most popular rides at the World. Kids really love it. Kids also really love Tiana/Princess and the Frog. Sign all the petitions but Disney is gonna Disney, and the majority of visitors don’t give a second thought about the change, they just want a fun water surge ride. Bonus if there are animatronics and music.

      1. Steve

Princess and the Frog is far from Frozen. They could have made a Frozen themed bathroom and it would have had an hour wait. Princess and the Frog flopped, it has only come back to check a box.

      2. Anonymous

Not all kids loved Princess and the Frog. Mainly girls do. What will really fall flat is the retheme, just like the other failure. Woke stuff has been failing and going flat one by one as well all other rethemes in certain rides (the new imagination ride, Stitch’s Great Escape, & Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management). Song of the South won an Oscar and got re-released four times in theaters, more than most can say about Princess and the Frog.

      3. Dan

Princess and the Frog was the biggest box office flop in Disney history when it came out. It still isn’t t anywhere near as popular as Lion King, Frozen or Little Mermaid.

    3. Anonymous

It only looked ragged and run down, because the fools didn’t bother trying to fix it. I saw clips afterwards that showed of what looked ragged or run down, were fixed.

    4. Heather

Except that area isn’t New Orleans Square, it’s technically Critter Country.

  19. Tara Allen

Please keep splash mountain. It is an icon of the park!!

  20. Krissa

Splash mountain is based off a movie that they will not rerelease nor ever air again. If they are not going to rerelease the movie (for good reason), reasoning dictates that the ride based off said movie should go as well. Not to mention the animatronics were very old at this point and refurbishing the ride would more than likely be MORE exepensive than gutting it and starting over.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure could be a wonderful retheme of the ride. I understand change is scary, and Splash Mountain is fun. But the retheme might be just as fun.

    1. Tinkerbell

Yes I agree, things need change for newer themes, I think they should retheme Tom sawyer Island to the boat ride in repunzel, the only thing she has @ MK is the tower by the bathroom. I heard they were rethemeing Swiss family tree house into Tarzan, that would be cool.

    2. Anonymous

Guess again, Krissa. There was hasn’t been good reason why it was not re-released. And for your information, it has already been re-released on a Netflix-like streaming service called “ReDiscover Television”. Do your homework cause you missed a spot. Also, CEOs come and go and rules get altered. When Eisner was CEO, he planned to release it on Disc for real good reasons, before Iger cowardly altered it. When Iger’s history, things may get altered.

And not according to the stock drops, the retheme won’t be popular.

    4. Anonymous

Wrong Krissa. There hasn’t been a good reason it wasn’t re-released. And it already has been re-released on a netflix streaming like site called ReDiscover Television. You missed a spot. Look around your environment more carefully. That proves it can be released in public. And the only reason why it didn’t come on disc is because a CEO, Iger, is wasting his time trying to prevent it from happening. Well, he’ll be gone soon, and rules change. Also, when Eisner was CEO, he was going to release the movie on Disc, before Iger took over. All proving that it can so be released on Disc someday. With or without Iger. You ought to know that. As for the Tiana ride, not according to the stock drops it won’t be.

    5. Dan

Lol Or they could make a new film with Br’er rabbit or better yet come up with some original ideas for rides instead of basing everything on IP to sell T-shirts.

  21. Byron

Leave the parks alone. Add YES. Change to make it better YES.
If you are going to change something, do it because it needs an update, NOT because someone is offended. If you follow the attitude of it is offensive, then close all the parks completely. Every ride, show or item at the parks can be offensive to someone, somewhere, for whatever reason. Leave Splash, and other rides alone. Especially when it is still to this day very popular AS IS.

  22. Steve

They aren’t going to save it. Sorry, that’s just reality. Iger is the one that put Disney on the woke path. He would never admit defeat.

This will go down like Journey Into Imagination’s retheme.

  23. Allie gator

Well S1 let us down, he didn’t take over Disney and save Splash mountain from being changed.

  24. Chris

Disney has likely already spent the money to have the new animatronics built, and they most likely have already been built. It won’t do any good petitioning if things have already been done.

    1. Anonymous

What they spent was wasted and it would only turn to failure, just like what happened to the retheme of Imagination, and movies such as Lightyear and Strange World. Get real.

    2. Dan

Yeah, like they couldn’t use the new animatronics for a new ride. Especially with new rides planned for Magic and Animal Kingdom. Splash’s animatronics we’re recycled from America Sings.

  25. Zachdaquack

Dude splash mountain is the best. It’s like 10 people that have a problem with it.

  26. Cristy

Keep splash the story is not the problem.

  27. Lynda

That’s one of the best rides and should remain there.

  28. Chris

    Hateful much? It’s a just a ride…

  29. Rick

Splash mountain is like the best ride at Disney and should never have been made political. It’s a kids ride for goodness sake. It doesn’t offend anyone in any shape or form

    1. Mary

      Agreed.

  30. Bink

I have to say. Splash Mountain is iconic. I love the ride. I never thought anything was wrong with the ride. My only thing is that Splash Mountain is a water ride that doesn’t have no splash. Lol.. I’m just kidding. Disney and the executives need to listen to the people and leave it alone.

    1. Foto Grapher

The current Disney executives never listen to the guests. They only listen to the banker. We’ve been going to WDW about once a month, 3 days per trip for the last 22 years. Our favorites (Adventurers Club, Comedy Warehouse, Great Movie Ride, Splash Mountain, and many others) have all been closed. Bye-Bye Disney. There are other theme parks (Sea World, Universal, & Busch Gardens) in Florida to visit. Disney could care less about our petitions.

  31. Rick

Splash mountain is a kids ride for goodness sake and should not have been brought into politics. It offends nobody in any shape or form. It should be left alone

  32. Iola Freeman

Leave splash mountain alone, it is one of the major attractions. It is my favorite ride and best rides. People know what they want and this is one of the rides they want.

  33. Mary

Change isn’t always a good thing. Love it the way it is!

  35. RJ

The princess and the frog is a great movie. It deserves a ride of its own tbh.

  36. Michael

You guys do know that no matter what Disney isn’t going to back down on this? The ride isn’t going away, it’s going to be the same ride. Just a different theme.

  37. Eileen

Keep Splash mountain as is.Love that ride.Isnt it bad enough you took away The Great Movie ride ? Stop taking away our beloved attractions.Thank you….

  38. Todd

Absolutely a family tradition a favorite for decades. Please please don’t change.

  39. Darin

Leave splash mountain alone. Build another water ride at Magic Kingdom with the new theming.

  40. TRACEY BLOUNT

.Too late to stop the woke rot ,it’s already set in .If they were not doing this it ,would be something else. The many are being forced to change for the few.I hope those few mange to keep all the executives in the greedy lifestyle they have become accustomed to.
    L

  41. Angie

Unpopular opinion but I hate splash mountain, it’s always creeped me out. I’m excited for the change because I love princess and the frog and the artist rendering of what it’s going to look like looks amazing.

  42. KT

    SAVE SPLASH MOUNTAIN!!!!!!!!!!

  43. Anonymous

If you’re upset about the change just close your eyes next time you ride it. Or better yet, don’t go! If as many people oppose the change as y’all claim, I could have nice short lines on my next trip! 🙂

    1. S1

There won’t be a park to go to if everyone who supports Splash Mountain staying stopped going. You are the minority. If Disney stayed in the Twentieth Century where it belongs, frozen in time forever and is boycotted by leftists who picket the parks for promoting 1950s and 60s values, it would thrive with less undesirables like you ahead of us in line. When I make Disney great again, that’s what will happen.

  44. Jayne1955

It would have made much more sense to put a bayou on Tom Sawyer’s island. They could have tied in with the riverboat and it would have been epic.

  45. Rochelle

Please save Splash Mountain! One of my family’s favorite rides and it brings back sweet memories!

  46. P Kile

    Finally they are retheming!
Splash Mountain has always been a mediocre ride with no theme. They just recycled “America Sings” Characters which was a sub-par attraction. Now they get to redo and create a great water flume ride. Don’t worry, you will get used to the new version and love it too.

    1. S1

No we will not get used to a new version, and there will be no new version. Real Disney fans reject Tiana and changing attractions and the idea that the parks will never be finished. That idea died with Walt. I’m sorry you have a terrible taste in theme parks and you are an example of why Disney parks are private members only clubs where not everyone is welcome. Maybe the parks should be segregated.

  47. DJ

It’s a ride with animated characters. Things change. Everyone is going “bonkers” or a ride that you’ve ridden over 50 to 100 times.

  48. Bunch of losers signed that petition

  49. Anon

I feel like the retheming of the ride is more appropriate given how controversial Song of The South is. There’s a reason why it was banned in the first place.
