Disney needs to return to a family oriented park. Stay out of politics and the disgusting things that don’t don’t meet the family values. Protect the kids and allow them to be kids as long as they can.

      Here Here go get them!

Look at your own before you call others disgusting, Dumptard. Children out of wedlock, divorce, cheating on your wife… your teen daughter opening her legs and shooting out kids at 17…etc etc. but of COURSE your family must be so “moral”. Riiiight.

Disney can’t celebrate 1939 because something bad happened in the world that year?

If Disney can charge $$$$ for fastpass and everything else, then Disney can celebrate any year they want. What are people going to do, complain?

    1. JoeBryant

True, but that bad thing didn’t affect us until 1941.

    2. John

Nobody better celebrate anything that happened in 2020 either.

  4. Steve

It was only really bad for one group, but they run everything now.

      100%

Different events happen in every year. Both good and bad. Disney has to stop catering to the “words hurt” triggered people who need victims at every moment. 1939 for the Disney company was a vibe. Nothing wrong with celebrating that. There was nothing insensitive about that tweet.

I am so tired of people trying to redirect history. They CAN’T erase it. If so, they should take down all the frickin’ pictures off their own walls at home because nobody cares about what little Bobby did when he was in the 3rd grade.
Leave history alone. Learn from it. Be proud of it. Laugh at it. Cry at it. But for gawd sake leave it alone. With every step we take, everyone has history.
Disney meant no harm in anything he had done in history.
Remember, what we ALL do today may be hated by someone in the future.

I sincerely hope this is all sarcasm.

Seriously??? Insensitive? Grow up for goodness sake!

1939 sucked for some and didn’t for others. However, Disney should choose to be a little more attentive to those less fortunate than themselves and stop thinking about money, gay, money and gay so much.

The most hilarious (and hilariously overlooked) part of this post is that, other than the 1939 Oscars ceremony, 1939 wasn’t even a particularly interesting year for Disney. There were some shorts, but that’s about it. Twenty-five-year-old Disney employees don’t even know their own company’s history, much less world history.

Stop the madness – totally unacceptable – there have been lots of bad years for some reason or another – stop living and bringing up the past/history/politics – worry about today, tomorrow and the future if there is any!!! History is history whether it was good, bad or ugly. Why you gonna fret over the past things done – you can’t change what has already happened you need to move forward and do the right things and stop causing undo trouble & chaos!!!!

It would be really nice if people stopped taking everything so seriously. Yeah 1939 sucked but you could find a reason every year has sucked. There were good things too.
