You said right in your article why Chapek is the worst CEO. His job is to make money for the stockholders. Since Disney stock is and has been dow 40%+ since he took over, he failed miserably.
The best wood be a combination of Walt & his brother Roy by far! 2nd best would be Michael Eisner he was very good. Iger I am not sure about him. The worst by far is Chapek he & the leadership he has plus the Woke faction Chapek has let in which is destroying Disney, that was much loved, has to be removed and never again have anything to do with Disney and should be banned from Disney parks PERIOD
Shhhhh…..listen very closely do you hear that giant sucking sound? That is the legacy of Iger and the performance of Chapek. I could not possibly include every argument against these two mobsters. Disney is more than a balance sheet and acquisitions and they have ruined the company.
Each CEO brought in things that guests liked and disliked. Guests have vowed never to return under each CEO. However, none of the previous CEO’s portrayed themselves as a money grabbing, penny pincher that Bob Paycheck has done. The wheels to change and/or cancel recent things may have been initiated under Iger, but good ol Bobby Paycheck went through with them. He could have very easily said, “No, we’re doing this and that instead.”
My vote goes to Paycheck as being the worst for Disney and he must go!
Michael Isner was “Disney”. He visited the parks and was a man on the scene, although every CEO can have issues, being human, Bob Chapek takes the “HONOR” for being the worst CEO, IMO, of the Disney Empire.
Listen to him, his leadership is not very dynamic. He needs to listen to the people in his organization, or hire a consulting firm to give him direction.
Some of the latest “Disney movies” are B or C category.
I just watched “The Santa Claus production on Disney+ and the show looks like a video! The set design is not at all like the original movie, and the premise is lacking direction.
Disenchanted was also IMO nothing like the original either. The story line is a ‘best’ mediocre. The first movie was great.
Both were brought to Disney+, instead of the Box office, where the $$ are made, but they were not up to the Disney standard of movie making. It did get a 2* rating.
But in evaluating where $$$ should be spent to make movies, TV shows, the head of Disney needs to be a diehard Disney person and find out what people want. Do it with Disney magic.
Keep Walt’s vision, parks were for families, and raising prices to curb the crowds, and the stock is failing to produce dividends, market gains, who is to blame in 2022?
Leadership?
That is where Bob Chapek is failing at this point.
Now that a year has gone by with the parks reopening, for the people who visited the parks prior to 2020, they have seen the change.
New people going to the parks, take it as a “NORMAL”..
Higher prices, extreme crowds, a new system of Disney on your smart phone. What if you did not have a smart phone??? You would be up a creek. At least prior the Fast Pass was available in Kiosk on site and also on Smart Phones.
