Ooh, ooh, I know one employee that has a huge salary that could go.. name rhymes with paycheck…

    1. JW

Agreed! The company has “survived challenges” during its 100 year existence…but will it survive the ineptitude of Bob Chapek??? I’m beginning to wonder!

  2. Alny (They/Them)

The CEO bares full responsibility, so they should ge replaced.

  3. Brandon

Hey hey hey, we’re not in a recession. Bob is like, these aren’t the jobs you are looking for…crap doesn’t work lol.

  4. Chris

It always starts at the top, where it’s needed the most.

  5. J

Disbanding ABC “News” entirely would be a good place to start

How about finding everyone who thought going woke was a good idea and firing them?

I guess the problem is that includes Bobby Paycheck himself.

Good old “Bob” does it again! I can’t believe the stockholders are letting him get away with all this. I worked at a major cancer clinic here in Pittsburgh and had to take a seminar “The Disney Way.” The way Disney run their business and taught customer service was being presented to HOSPITALS! Cause Disney had the best customer service of any businesses! Now nurses are compassionate people and usually treat their patients very well. I know I did, but I learned a few things in that seminar.
Now I won’t blame cast members if they are not bubbly. And I honestly really won’t get that upset with a cast member if they get testy with me especially now.
“Bob” is tearing Disney apart piece by piece until there will be nothing left!!!!
Walt keeps on rolling. Lord knows that man deserves his rest!

Nice, the parks are overcrowded, the lines are too long, not enough cast members to control the people and rides constantly breaking down and the parks are dirty. Let’s see…I know let’s stop hiring cast members. What a magical place.
    (insert sarcasm here)

    1. O say it again ! The stench starts at the top!!

Go woke, go broke! A company spending all their focus with advancing political agendas instead of sticking with proven and profitable business models.
    This is a poorly-ran company.

    1. Dr. Manny

This statement basically reveals a political agenda on your part and not the reality of business. Organizational behavior a MBA course actually shows how profitable companies act as organism which will act in their self interest and taking a political stance is part of it. Oil companies do this all the time by lobbying for subsidies and using their influence on the political spectrum to get what they want. Your little I hate Woke which has more to do with your prejudice than anything else shows your ignorance and hate. Do some research before your open your mouth Jerry. It will save you some embarrassment.

      1. Steve

3 guesses what Manny’s doctorate is in.

        1. Dr. Manny

          Ends with BA Steve.

      2. Dr Manny , why are you on a Disney Post. Go back to doing what you do best. Being critical of other people’s opinion, is not an intellectual use of your energy, maybe you should just keep quiet and LET IT BE!

  9. Greed has become Disney’s first name. He is destroying Walt’s dream and as dirty as the parks were last November with deplorable bathrooms and trash cans overflowing the stench is becoming real with Chapek is charge. Layoffs is the last thing Disney needs ; firing Chapek is what Disney stockholders need to do to help stock prices!

When a company that needs employees, stops hiring employees, said company is being mismanaged. Disney, like this country, is heading in the wrong direction. Survey after survey says so.
Psst. Hey Bob, you should start paying attention to what people want, more so than your paycheck. You’ll be further ahead in the long run.

      1. Megan Holt

They can start by cleaning house at Lucasfilm. Kathleen Kennedy, Pablo Hidalgo & Rayne Roberts to begin with. Bring Lucasfilm back to it’s former glory, please 🙏

  11. Jordan. P Davidson

This is just going to make things worse than they already are less cast members would just bring even more problems.

  12. David Kinsman

They should cut at the management level and not at the cast member level for they are the ones doing the work

  13. Rw

    Enough of Paycheck!!!!!!

  14. RM

Well, this should ease up guest’s complaints of lousy attitudes amongst Disney employees. Hey Bob, when was the last time somebody told you that when you make big profits it’s time to get rid of your employees? Maybe you need to read up on how Southwest Airlines runs a real business. Even during the war back in 2001-….. to the pandemic, Southwest NEVER laid-off any employee, even with losses to their revenues. Bob Chapek is the WORST thing that’s ever happened to Disney. Bob, save yourself now. And save Disney by resigning. Just think, with you gone, the company would have an extra $32.5m.

  15. Dan

This is how you fix it, Bob. First, start paying attention to your guests! The satisfactions scores are in the toilet and you just don’t care. Second, stop injecting the company into politics! Your company is in a very, very red state. California politics is not going to fly in Orlando. Third, fix your rides. Fourth, return to a company focused on the guest experience instead of looking for ways to nickle and dime everyone.

    1. Teddy Gingerich

Of course, everyone knows that the best way to increase revenue and the customer base in a purely service-driven industry is to – lower the bar? Yeah, that isn’t helping, buddy. One layoff that would really help is at the top of the heap.

  16. AB

Investors should be just as happy as the guests that won’t be coming back to the parks. Stupid move. Reminds me of KMart back in the day when they chose the same path…they cut frontline workers and broke the basic business law 101 – if you want business growth, NEVER remove customer service. As soon as they did, the stores looked dumpy, the few employees they kept were overworked and visibly miserable and their vastly older customer base has nobody to help them while in the store. What a shame for a company that once held the highest customer service standard to end up like KMart.. The “Disney bubble” that warranted the high cost vacations is no longer existent, so the desire to spend the money on Disney park vacations went with it for a massive number of us. Add in their political activism and they’re done for…just a matter of time unless the first layoff is their inept leadership.

  17. Dr. Manny

Disney just had a job fair in Orlando just a few weeks ago. Those people are still being hired. They are still short staffed but hey Wall Street just wants it’s estimates made so they can hold sway.

  18. As a Disney Stock Holder and an avid Disney Park “Adult” fanatic, Mr Bob can save the Disney Company by resigning. “EASY” solution.
Concentrating on digital in home technology, and forgetting the validity of the parks and people running the parks, is his his mistake and lack of human interaction.
Most people are social and his comments on people who cannot afford to visit the parks can experience it through technology!
And pricing the parks and accommodations so the average middle class family cannot experience the MAGIC is not Walt’s vision.
If the Disney+ channel is making the company loose $$$ there is something wrong in his “thinking”. The parks are what is keeping Disney alive. Also Good movies help on the bottom line, not making Expensive MINI Star Wars adventures and Marvel Adventures. Spend the money and make Movies that play at theaters and bring in money to the company. Then bring those movies after 4 months to the Disney+ cable network. Disney needs to remove the “BOB” and get back to basics.

    1. Stephanie

      Very well said!

  19. Charlie the tower

Amen, @David A. As the father of a family of 4, I have decided not to go to Disney World at all, even though my daughter has asked millions of times. Now that I have left the service as a retiree. I only can afford what im able to save, and since a visit to WDW from out of town can cost from 7-10k per visit, I prefer to travel to the old continent and experience something less crowded and better maintained than WDW…

  20. Stephanie

Chapek is the one that should be fired! Disney is already short staffed, & Chapek wants to lay off more cast members? What an idiot. He needs to look into the mirror to see why Disney stocks have dropped so low. All roads lead directly to him. He’s the one destroying the Disney magic.

  21. Master White

Hopefully, he gets rid of the diversity team currently making it their mission to ruin the parks.

Less lazy minorities (blacks and spics) and entitled queer o sexuals who don’t want to do anything but reaffirm their gender would be good too.
