It’s nice to see someone pointing out that Iger himself is the architect to most of Disney’s financial woes. Chapek really only had 11 months (with Iger still lurking in the background) to try and bail Disney out of trouble. Then he had to do it with a large percentage of Disney employees working against him. Well he couldn’t do it but I guess he was well paid for failing. Hollywood loves to fail upwards. If Disney would only put their classic movies and shows on streaming they wouldn’t have to make so much craptastic “content” and would save a fortune AND make the customers happier. I don’t mean recycled cheesey shows from the Disney Channel either. Kids would like them I’m sure but the adults paying for it all don’t want that. Disney DID have some good shows way back when, shows like Danger Bay would be great to add to the channel. But their classic movies that used to be on World of Disney on Sunday nights are going to waste in some vault somewhere.
