I agree that parents who hit their kids should get a lifetime ban. That doesn’t belong there. If your kids are that bad, you need to take them and leave the park (and the resort).
Security is a problem there. I never thought I’d come close to fighting at Magic Kingdom. On my last trip, about five years ago, my wife and young daughter went to get a table at one of the restaurants, while I ordered the food.
My wife called me crying, because a British family day down and stole the table from her as she was getting my daughter situated.
I came out and started arguing, and me and one of their adult kids got in each other’s faces and traded insults.
I’m not one for fighting, so finally I let it go, but where is security to deal with jerks that would push a woman and child out of the way because they wanted the table for themselves?
I come from a family/religion/culture that we believe God made the bottom for spanking. It has to be done the right way. Private not in anger. The child should be counseled about what they did wrong, spank, and then restore in love.
Elbowing a child in the face is abuse most people would agree. Disney Parks are serving up a lot of liquor and park long lines are probably contributing factors, but no excuse. When the person in the article saw the child hit in the face with an elbow what did they do? Get back in an attraction line, report it to a castmember, look away, or write an article online. If they reported it, their day came to a halt. Waiting around for police, reporting the incident, possibly testifying in court later. Let’s report abuse and save a life. Disney can help by having a plan in place.
