I would rather Disney open a casino in Vegas or Laughlin.

  2. Steve

Disney is already a gambling experience if you go to the parks.

    1. John

Well Epcot is a bar crawl put some slots there and you got a fun weekend.

      1. Steve

They will need to be Indian land. Luckily, Bob just discovered a document showing their land belongs to the Meecheemaus tribe. Bob is the only living member.

        1. Terry

          They own Pocahontas

          1. Carson E.

Wow. I feel absolutely dirty for giving Disney my money over the years. I’ve always been a big Disney fan, but I’m not sure if I can have any more hope for this company.

      2. Tom

Walt is literally spinning in his grave. Probably fast enough to be a gyroscope.

        1. Terry

Like a record Tom round round rice round.

  3. Elijah Abrams

    Death to Chapek!

    1. Chris

      Amen brother!

    2. RM

      Maybe not death but resignation

      1. Rose

Bob Chapek is doing everything he can to separate the Walt Disney Company from Walt Disney’s dream. I look at his smirk and think what would Walt do? Fire him immediately!
Chapek has released the “kraken of wokeness”, and if his reign continues, the magic will be gone forever. Progress is great, but Chapek is about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, no matter how to more and more.

        1. Naj

The board needs to fire his a** Pronto!
I can’t even afford Disney World anymore! And it is no longer family entertainment– too woke.
          Go woke, go broke…

      2. Steve

Now, I am not saying I wish death upon him, but I might wish he had a real life experience like the one depicted on Tower of Terror.

        1. Patrick Hausenfleck

He needs a similar experience to the one Steve Martin’s Character in “The Grand Canyon” has💯

  4. Kurt

Gambling, probably not a good idea.
I never had that much disposable money.

    1. Don

And Chapek is why I along with many many others are tired of Disney. No longer have the MAGIC!

      1. Robert Dexter

I have always loved & enjoyed going to the Disney Parks, bit when is enough, enough. For the longest time ALL parks werw “dry” no alcohol alowed. The 9nly exception was the Food & Wine Festival in EPCOT. Now to start allowing gambling/sports betting? This is getting out of hand. I completely unsetstand that Disney is a company that is all about making $$, but i would agree that A LOT of the MAGIC hqs been lost.

    2. Terry

The only two characters that they can get away with for advertising is Pocahontas and Scrooge Mcduck

      1. Steve

        Scrooge is Bob’s spirit animal.

  5. Ken

Put casino on your cruise ship to start.

    1. Bill

One of the big reasons I go on Disney is because there is no gambling. It creates the wrong atmosphere and will be the downfall of Disney Cruises if gambling is put on ships. Disney is already losing more and more magic every day! First liquor and now gambling… Goodby Disney!

At each Walt Disney Company quartering meetings, they mention at their meeting and their reports show their minor stake in DraftKings, online betting.

    From Wikipedia:
In July 2015, DraftKings entered into a three-year advertising deal with ESPN Inc. valued at $250 million.[19] This deal included “integration” of the service within ESPN’s television and digital content, and having exclusivity in advertising DFS services on its networks beginning in January 2016.[20][21]

Also in July 2015, DraftKings announced a round of funding totaling $300 million, led by Fox Sports, along with the Kraft Group, owners of the New England Patriots, and Boston financial giant Wellington Management.[22] The agreement included a condition stating that DraftKings would spend $250 million on advertising with Fox Sports over the next three years.[14] Due to the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney in March 2019, Fox’s stake is now owned by The Walt Disney Company.[23]

  7. Shelly

    Awesome

  8. Rya

That new beard he’s grown isn’t fooling anyone… Bob Paycheck is a pig for money.

  9. Lou

    Chapek you are garbage!

    1. Neal r smith

Boy, that slippery slide down hill is going faster! I have given up on Disney, in the 70’s when I was a ride operator it was bad, but nothing like today. Broken rides, no maintenance and no clear direction from management.

  10. Rroe

Coming next from Chapek will be Disney Strip Clubs.

    1. flying Turtles

“where my money biotch?” – Mickey Mouse 2023 (probably)

    2. Terry

I’ll buy that princess a dollar!

      (Just kidding)

    3. Mason

Then the introduction of Drag Queen Mickey.

    4. Steve

I might be interested in that offering. Disney was a leader in animatronics before those were popular in that way.

  11. Ed M

Betcha that Rotisserie Walt is spinning in his grave.

  12. Dan

Everything woke turns to garbage and this guy is leading Disney to the dump.

  13. Walt

“he likes to look at almost every one of the company’s businesses through the eyes of the ultimate consumer, adding that he believes in doing so, you can’t go wrong in making decisions.”

Then why is it that every decision makes Disney suck?
This guy is a moron and is destroying the Disney legacy – but then mostever other elitist CEO is as well. Educated idiots all.

  14. RSmith

If you want to gamble with Disney, buy Disney stock.

    1. Steve

When you gamble, there is usually a chance of winning.

  15. RM

THAT’S IT! RESIGN CHAPEK! He’s riding on the coat tails of the Disney name and fame. It’s one thing to become addicted to real Disney life (parks n such), but to get involved in something that can cause addiction to gambling and could ruin families because of such an addiction. LEAVE CHAPEK!
Addiction to Disney parks? Happy families having fun. Addiction to gambling? Families with disgruntled lives and divorce. And it’ll be on YOUR shoulders Chapek! YOURS!

    1. Phoebe L Ho

      Welcome to my life.

Ironic fact- I’d actually be able to afford a sweet Disney vacay in Florida if I didn’t have to keep bailing out my spouse/louse of a bloodsucking gambling addict.

  16. Barbara Ann Horan

What is wrong with that man. Get him out of Disney…….NOW!!!!

  17. Leonard Engelhart

It’s all about squeezing every bit of money from the people.
    Pure greed.

  18. Erik

He really doesn’t know what a family friendly place is supposed to be. He really just doesn’t get it. The man has blinders on and all he sees are the dollar signs straight in front of him. This isn’t just Chapek’s doing either. It’s the whole Disney board of directors for only seeing the money that he’s trying to generate. They don’t seem to care about it good clean family fun for everyone around the world. He’s a greedy, shortcut, pinch a penny away where he can, and empty every guests pockets he can type of executive. If Walt were alive he’d have him thrown out on his rear faster than you can blink!

  19. Swim2sea

Walt would turn over in his grave if gambling became part of Disney. It’s not a “family value” and should never be introduced. Chapek needs to go

  20. Lou

Gambling?!?! It is now crystal clear that Chapek is an extremely wicked man, a ravenous wolf in sheep’s clothing, and he should be removed from the Disney company immediately.

  21. Bud

Might as well go all the way and put a bordello in each country in EPCOT. Chapeck can go get women from each country to make it country correct. If this doesn’t prove that Chapeck is all about the money then nothing will.

  22. Karen

I’d love to know what Abigail Disney thinks of this. What I think: stick to parks, movies, Disney+ entertainment. Family-friendly all the way. Ditch the sports, liquor, gambling. My father worked for General Electric, owned the stock, and watched it go downhill after Jack Welch branched out beyond the iconic business in such a way that no one could bring it back. I worked in the corporate world in the 1980s and 1990s, watched companies grab up businesses that weren’t their core competencies, and end up divesting and spinning off their acquisitions after they drove them into the ground. Chapek is a big mistake who will ruin this beloved company if he’s allowed to keep running the show.

  23. Michael Faussett

Bob Chapek needs to go he is messing up everything Walt Disney created for all families classes to enjoy in his parks. I used to go every year but the prices as gotten so I have to quit going to Disney World and I hate it because I love Disney but have a roof over my head is more important than going. Maybe one day I will be back .

  24. Sea witch

This is absolutely ridiculous! Chapek is evil and as far as I am concerned. Why has this greedy ahole not been fired? Vote him out! He’s taking Disney down to Davy Jones locker.

    1. Mason

Disney should go into the Davy Jones’ Locker from SpongeBob not the one Captain Jack Sparrow was put in.

      1. Steve

That is too good. I am torn between if he should have the same end as Scar or Frollo. Scar sounds about right – tossed by decent people to be ripped to pieces by his underlings.

  25. David L Langston

My guess is Chapek is trying to make Disney a High-income adult entertainment with the theme park rides where you pass off the kids to underpaid cast members. That would explain the expansion of alcohol service and gambling.

    1. Steve

That could actually work. It would be a scumbag move, but it would make business sense. It is almost too smart for Bob. He would screw or up.

    2. Karen

      Agree!

  26. Ginger

This man has lost his mind (if he has one). There have been more fights since he has allowed alcohol to be served inside the parks and now he wants gambling? The man is nuts. I cannot believe that the board allows him to do what he does. The back him 100%. Guess they are only interested in their wallets. I’m sorry but there is no such thing as family fun, family entertainment or family values at Disney and that is very sad. 😥😰😓

  27. Gregg

Disgraceful! Wait created this world for FAMILIES. Time for innocent happy magical fun not adult gambling alcohol partying and only for the rich n famous because average families are being priced out. Get rid of this guy.

  28. DeeAnn

    Pure evil.

  29. OMG… 😳 Seriously!

  30. Ryan

Sponge Bob needs to go!!! Gambling isn’t an option he just keeps sucking up the money and lining his pockets we use to enjoy going to Disney world and Disney cruise line not any more!!! I would bet too walt would have fired sponge Bob and all of the board of directors on the spot. For ruining Disney…

  31. Jamie

Once again, it’s just about Disney taking your money because that’s all they care about now. It’s really sad that my last Disney experience was in December 2018 which was amazing. I looked up in 2021 what the cost would be for the same experience, at the same resort, for the same time, & with the same perks that you used to get with the stay. It was just over $2,000 more in a 3 year span. Not worth it at all. Our new destinations every other year is anywhere but there. We can take 2 vacations to popular destinations every year with the money we would spend there. Myrtle Beach last year, Gatlinburg in 2020, & back to Gatlinburg in December this year & spent much less

  32. John

Walk me through how “going woke” made Disney unaffordable?

    1. Steve

It didn’t, but it made many people with the money to spend unwilling to.

  33. LS

Gambling, alcohol…. what’s next. Perhaps the board should be replaced by children. At least they know what’s fun. Toss the bums out.

  34. Karen

I think the thought of the Walt Disney Company going into gambling is VILE. It goes against everything Walt stood for. If the company wants to open a new section under its umbrella companies it s up to the companies board of directors. But the GREED they are showing is absolutely horrific so I hope they can take their wealth with them when they pass.

  35. E. Nygma

WDW is expensive enough without the prospect of losing everything. “Sorry family we have to live in our car because Daddy wagered everything on double at the Roulette wheel and lost.”

  36. E. Nygma

If Disney must add Gambling the Casino should be in Vegas or New Jersey. Even so I don’t like the idea. Too many people are addicted to gambling to the detriment of their families. Disney vacations are expensive enough without risking catastrophic loss.

  37. Erich Bremer

Hey – why not? Seems the way of things, no? Epcot used to be beautiful place to visit – now, it’s mostly a bunch of long lines of millennials and gen Z’ers trying to get loaded “drinking around the world” before noon. Disney has no shortage of things to disappoint these days…
