I have been a big fan since the first marvel film of phase one , until now I voice that, those actors that want too continue there roles should, I don’t have a problem with that since they have been playing that character. I’d be happy too see them in future films, I’m excited for what the future holds.
Friendly tip not meant to insult but to assist.
To is a preposition with several meanings, including “toward” and “until.” Too is an adverb that can mean “excessively” or “also.” Just to be clear: two is pronounced the same as to and too, but it can’t be used instead of either of them because it’s a number.
Their is the possessive pronoun, as in “their car is red”; there is used as an adjective, “he is always there for me,” a noun, “get away from there,” and, chiefly, an adverb, “stop right there”; they’re is a contraction of “they are,” as in “they’re getting married.”
I find grammatical errors, while understandable, they’re annoying. But, I’m the first to say, that typing on a telephone keyboard is inductive to errors. Between fat fingers and auto-correct, it’s bound to happen. As a matter of fact, I’m sure I’ve made numerous mistakes, especially since chemotherapy followed up by a three week stay in the hospital, all thanks to Covid.
However, staying on topic is more important unless the errors are such that you’re unable to comprehend the subject matter.
No one cares about a supporting character played by a B list actor wanting to quit, he’s not RDJ. It’s pretty pathetic that he’s the only character from the MCU Avengers who didn’t get his one movie or show. Hell even Groot got one.
Well you realize there’s reasons for that right? It’s not like they just didn’t make any movies for Hulk because they didn’t want to, they literally couldn’t because they didn’t have the licensing to do a solo movie after the first one. That licensing is returning to them though, so now they’ll be able to fully use Hulks character
I’m pretty sure there’s some hesitancy there, even from a depiction as well received as Mark Ruffalo’s. They’ve tried twice and failed to make a good hulk movie.
RDJ hasn’t really done much after the MCU. But skill wise, Mark Ruffalo us a far better actor. And if the powers that be had given him as much exposure as Iron Man, he definitely would have shined. They all would have. IM had waaaaaay too much influence in the MCU. No one else could flourish. He’s a damn Gary Stu. He didn’t exactly start out that way but it is where he ended up. And I like the actor and the characters.
Another thing is that Hulk has had three actors in a very short amount of time. I think the reason he never got his own film, like he should have, is because of behind the scene things. The first installment of the hulk failed and Hollywood doesn’t make a film without statistics/test screenings that may or may not actually reflect how the audience would actually feel.
I’ve always thought of Mark Ruffalo as serviceable but not particularly mind-blowing in anything even outside of the MCU. I think RDJ’s ability to pull off Stark’s more vulnerable side in a way that was believable and touching required a lot more range than Ruffalo has been asked to do. They’ve made Bruce Banner and the Hulk pretty watered down and that’s no fault of his own. I personally bummed out that Ruffalo replaced Edward Norton Jr but seeing how vanilla they’ve kept this character I’m sure ENJ would of quit mid contract.
Adoribelle – I somewhat agree with you, I’d like to see Norton back in some form, but not as the Hulk. Sorry, Ruffalo now owns the Hulk by having done it so long now. But I always said that Banner, the comic book Dr Banner looked like Ed Norton. Banner was kinda tall, about 6 foot or 6’1, skinny and nerdy looking. That’s Ed Norton, but because his movie didn’t do that well he’s been just cast aside and Mark Ruffalo with all of the Hulk appearances has become the Hulk. But I wouldn’t mind seeing Ed Norton return as the Hulk in some other universe form of the Hulk, you know with the multiverse now being real popular.
Edward Norton being recast had nothing to do with the movie. He was recast because he was too difficult to work with he wanted full creative control. Wanted more money then what they agreed on. It was too much of a headache to keep him. It had nothing at all to do with the movie
The thing about that is that he wasn’t cast aside because the movie underperformed it was due to him being difficult to work with. I’m sure Marvel didn’t want to keep a problem person long term but I remember him turning down “The Avengers” so maybe it was his choice after all.
Why Mark is so much better. Ed had to much confidence and no humbleness. Bana did well but didn’t have enough gravitas as a genius. Mark had them perfect balance and is most believable since Bixby
Lmao, if Markie was a better actor he would’ve gotten his own film a long, long time ago. He’s the only one of the from the main MCU Avengers without a movie or even his own show. He’ll even Groot has one coming out.
This just show how ignorant you people are in regards to quality actors and characters
Lmao, if Truthy did a single search. They’d know Mark couldn’t have his own solo film, and has so many restrictions on how they can use the hulk himself due to film rights. So before sounding so haughty, try a little research 🤡.
Talking about ignorance when you don’t have a clue. He legally can’t have his own movie, universal won’t let Disney use the character like Sony has with spidey. So maybe instead of typing vitriol like this you could instead look at why he hasn’t had his own movie. Also, Hawkeye didn’t get his own movie and the show was more geared toward Kate than him.
I’d rather see Ed Norton as the hulk. He’s a much better actor in my opinion. I don’t think he is all about politics either. I could be wrong about that though. It’s hard to really like a movie when the main character thinks I’m a bad person for what I believe in or don’t believe in.
Mark, should have retired along time ago. When you can’t keep your political views to yourself knowing your platform. Well it’s time Mark, I know I have zero interest in watching anyone of your movies. That went for everyone I know. Sucks because we did find all those hero movies very exciting to watch. However once u try and invade my home with your political views it’s time. You simply need a wake up call. Time you remember your just a guy who is simply over paid to perform at your job. That’s where it stops!
My sentiments exactly, i get so tired of people that are actors or people playing kids games for way too much money trying to tell me how i need to live my life. They seem to forget that they make all that money because we like the character they play. Then they let that go to their head and feel they are better than us because of what they think. There are very few actors that I cate what they think. They are entitled to have their beliefs, but do not try to cram those beliefs down other peoples throats. Keep the two separate.
My opinion. I have quit paying attention to many actors or even entire sport groups, because they forget their place. Its to entertain us, not decide how we need to live our lives. Best of luck to him and other actors that forget their roll in life.
Did he actually say he was better than you? Or anyone else for that matter? Is he telling you how to live your life? Or is he just supporting a cause that he feels is right, and you’re playing too much attention, when you could be ignoring it? He has just as much right to support whatever cause he wants, celebrity or not just like you and I.
Hey champ, every single character Stan Lee created is a liberal. He hated all Republicans, as well he should since they’re the scum of the Earth. You don’t like it? Enjoy conservative stars like Tim Allen hahaha
Boo hoo. Cry me a river. His political views align with helping everyone, society, and the planet. And with your whining on here about it, tells me that you’re probably not that great of a person.
Wow you are hatefull. At least Matk isn’t. Honestly we need more people like him ouy there willing to stand up for what they believe in and also not willing to hate a group of people based on who they love. Honestly you are what is wrong with this world.
Yes we need more SJWs in movies. I only watch movies if they have LGBTQ or propaganda. People are stupid if they watch for entertainment. Bigots!!! REE REEE REEE!
People who think people, who happen to be actors, or athletes, or entertainers, or any profession outside political pundits shouldn’t express their (political) opinion, because they don’t think actors are actually people, should do away with themselves. And you definitely shouldn’t like Reagan or Trump. Because they’re literally entertainers with political opinions.
People will have opinions no matter what job they have. Because they can. And this is the home of the free, and freedom of speech, right? Dont you have a job and have an opinion? Ok then. So shut up, and grow up you twats.
Mind yo business punk is 100% correct. Sounds like some people took what he said personally. I’m glad he spoke his mind no matter what his viewpoint is. And I’m sure he knew backlash would follow if he expressed himself. The freedom of speech is currently still in effect America. Let’s keep it that way.
I agree with alot of you all about Edward Norton was the best hulk out of any hulk in the movies. I wish they would bring Norton back too, but he wants to much money.
Yeah I would love to see Eric Bana back as hulk – somehow in this universe and on a permanent basis. Ruffalo is a great hulk but Eric Bana was my favourite and I know I am a minority here but I didn’t like Norton’s Hulk or Bruce.
I love the hulk watched all of them I enjoyed the Ed Norton one and if he had made the film 5 years later would have been great and he would probably still be the hulk now but it is what it ie love ruffallo he is the hulk and like wolvernine and iron man be q tough act for anyone to follow
Do not bring back Ed Norton, he is awful!!!!! Mark Ruffalo is so much better and he is the Hulk hands down. !! Plus I don’t want to to see Mark retire from being the Hulk!!!!
Let’s get to the real Hulk issue. Can they bring back Betty Ross? Why they moved away from her being the peaceful anchor for both Bruce and Hulk I’ll never understand.
Mark Ruffalo as the hulk in them main timeline is how it should stay. Bit we do have they multiverse now. I think it would be awesome to have a “not way home” kind of multiverse story where we got all 3 hulks (Eric Banana, Edward Norton, Mark Ruffalo). I am aware that most folks found the Banana hulk film to be terrible, and I agree. I don’t think that Eric Banana as the Hulk was the issue though. Terrible writing and directing were the issue, as is often the case with terrible films.
It doesn’t matter if hes the “main” or not, they can just replace him like they did with Roadie in Ironman. No one will care about a supporting character getting replaced.
The fact that you’re comparing The Hulk to Rhodey is insane. You’re right, no one cared about Rhodeys change but that’s because it was after a single movie with minimal screen time before he got the war machine suit. Favourite Hulk moments? I chose Thor 3 … and I agree, please bring back Betty Ross as Harpy and Red She-Hulk (aka She-Rulk). I liked Jennifer Connelly as Betty Ross vs Liv Tyler.
You’re right. The Hulk films would have been hyper emotional rather than action packed. No one would have watched them, but with how Ruffalo brought the Hulk into the spotlight it made it so much more than a movie could do.
Ruffalo doesn’t want to take a break. He wants to do it as long as they will have him. But you’re right about the Hulk as a costar, which is why I like Ruffalo. His chemistry with RDJ, whom he had worked with before made the Avenger films better.
So the guy that said he didn’t like mark and celebrities like him because he spoke their opinion. Then you all said freedom of speech standing up for those celebrities, while attacking him for using his freedom of speech. Yes that just showed how horrible the liberals are. Good job. Jeff daniels why the liberals lose. You should watch it.
I’m a fan of comics, cartoons, TV & Streaming show, and films. That said, I realize that ever different format has it’s own strengths and weakness. One of those weakness in films is casting. It is completely understandable that casting might change over time for any number of reasons. I enjoyed all the incarnations of the Hulk over the years and look forward to what they can do going forward. I think Bana, Norton, and Ruffalo all did a great job depicting different variations of an interesting character. It has been wonderful watching Ruffalo play the character repeatedly allowing him to grow over time. If, for whatever reason, they should cast someone new for the role, it will only added to the experience with a fresh take. As a fan, it is what I enjoy seeing. It is what made the “What If…” Series so much fun. Everyone has an opinion, and none are right or wrong. Some people will see or relate to things that others will not. I think Ruffalo is a fine actor and I’m sure he still has a brilliant career ahead of him. His version of the Hulk will remain for the ages, just as the others have for many future fans to enjoy!
Mad props to all the people who are working to share their visions for these characters they bring to life. Thanks for all the entertainment.
If you guys actually read it, he’s not retiring. I’m reading some of these comments and man some of yall were dropped on your head as a baby and it shows.
Bruce heading to Sakaar is, for comic book geeks, a precursor to World War Hulk. We’ll be introduced to his son Skaar..in time for him to join the Young Avengers. He’ll replace Hulkling, because I don’t think they’ll deal with the Hulkling/Wiccan relationship.
If I had elected Biden I would be worried too! Disney is ruining the MCU so I doubt I’ll be seeing anymore of the movies which is a shame because up until the last Dr. Strange and Thor movies, I rather enjoyed them.
He worked better than Norton would have in the Avengers movies because he had such great chemistry with RDJ. The Norton Hulk is the one movie I don’t own. I just didn’t like him.

Norton wasn’t cast aside, he left after disagreements about the direction of the next Hulk movie, which he was set to co-write and star in.

Edward Norton was kicked out of being the hulk because of his attitude. That is well documented.
Sean
Edward Norton being recast had nothing to do with the movie. He was recast because he was too difficult to work with he wanted full creative control. Wanted more money then what they agreed on. It was too much of a headache to keep him. It had nothing at all to do with the movie

I believe Norton wanted more control of the character that the studio wasn’t willing to relinquish to him. Thus his replacement.
Bob
Which is funny because today that is something they would totally do, as evidenced by Waititi’s latest Thor.
Tom
Ed Norton wasn’t cast aside because the movie didn’t do well. He was replaced because hes hard to work with
Mike
They asked Norton to play the Hulk again but he didn’t think they offered enough $$$.
Dwils
That not why he’s not playing the hulk anymore.
Skyfoxmarine
That’s not true at all. Ed Norton turned down being the Hulk because he didn’t want to get locked into a multi-movie contract.
Derrek
Norton was by far the best Banner, and the way the hulk looked in that movie was a way better looking Hulk
Mel
The thing about that is that he wasn’t cast aside because the movie underperformed it was due to him being difficult to work with. I’m sure Marvel didn’t want to keep a problem person long term but I remember him turning down “The Avengers” so maybe it was his choice after all.

Nothing against Mark but good. They ruined Hulk throughout the MCU. Just retire the character and start new with people who know Hulk lore instead.

If you guys actually read it, he’s not retiring. I’m reading some of these comments and man some of yall were dropped on your head as a baby and it shows.

To me Ruffalo is the Hulk. He is the ONLY one that has done it right. I am glad to know he will not abandon us…

I have no idea what you think Biden has to do with Disney, aside from the fact they both know DeSantis is an a-hole.

He worked better than Norton would have in the Avengers movies because he had such great chemistry with RDJ. The Norton Hulk is the one movie I don’t own. I just didn’t like him.
