Are there off season anymore? That’s what I would love to know. It’s been over 20 years since I’ve been there and would love to go again. I don’t know if I want to deal with the crowds and the stupidity with the fighting that is going on.

I think you’re right! From what I hear, it’s a level of stress no one wants to deal with in their vacation. Forget the fact that the “pay per day/ ride” model is overly cumbersome and you still have the fact that you’re paying for something you might not get to use on the ride you want to use it on!

It’s a combination of the two, by out-of-state folk who planned their big family revenge-trip the minute the parks went “normal” in ’22, but can now afford only one trip in the next three to five years, are stressed out going commando with their kids on this one, and want absolutely nothing to get in their way…
So yeah, it’s still Chapek’s fault, but partly. 60-40 or 70-30, basically.
Because fast pass was fair for everyone who bought a ticket. Imagine you are a family of four on a budget and find out the only way to see the premium ride is to fork over 60 more dollars. The Standby lane for rise of the resistance is not a viable option if you are there only one day now. You are going to get angry and pop someone…
Doesn’t matter what the reason is why justify the bad behavior in the first place. Hope they and theirs got blackballed from all Disney parks for life. That’s the only way to stop this mess.
It’s very simple to determine the increased violence at the parks and disney is going to deflect and make it some mysterious thing. The price to goto any Disney park and ones ability to experience everything the park offers is way off balance. I f I spend 5k on a family vacation and midway through that vacation I’m only able to experience 10% of the rides, I’m gonna be a little wound tight when people cut in line or obscure my view of a show. Add in the heat and dwindling cast member service…Disney needs to ask its self profit or best possible guest experience? They choose profits and we get these violent outburst which will only get worse and more common.
I agree that it has to do with genie + we would go to Disney world and or land every year. Think about while other like myself live in NM and have to buy airplane tickets and park tickets and renting a car family of four by the time I get just to Florida I have already on plane tickets alone $3,000 then rent a car for the week $500 my hotel for the $125 a night then Disney tickets and now genie+ and pay per ride I’m not going to say that what they did was right but money does have a lot to do with it

Yes, there have always been yahoos in the parks causing trouble, but it’s worsened over the past 3 years. Genie+, pay for rides, reservations in addition to a ticket – all are contributory to what’s going on. And the head honcho – Bob Chapek – bears both the blame and responsibility for directly killing the magic.
I think it’s the stress of having to all but plan your Disney vacation down to the last minute with Genie + AND having to pay more to ride certain rides. Fast Pass was free! It needs to be brought back, get rid of Genie + and all the expense that goes with it. AND bring back Annual Passes at a reasonable price, not almost doubled prior to what they were before the pandemic!! Management seems to forget that when the parks reopened in 2020 it was not the people who spend the $5,000 to $10,000 to bring their families to the parks that kept them going, it was the Annual Passholders and the DVC members that showed up. But because management feels we don’t spend as much as people without Annual Passes and without DVC, that it’s ok to raise those prices and then quit selling them all together because they want the people to come to the parks that have to buy a normal park ticket and pay the big bucks to do so. Yes, Disney is all about making money, but along the way management needs to sit back and take a look at who came to the parks when they reopened in 2020!!

In the summer it has always been hot, long lines, with inpatient entitled people in the summer time at WDW. People are animals and act like animals. IMO it is lousy service, outragous price increase in admission food, and lines that allow people with more money to pay to go to front of the line.

BIG UPDATE: The kid wearing the red pants is apparently Elijah Richardson an up and coming Disney / Marvel star and as he started the fight by throwing the first punch, he roams the parks freely and was not banned from Disney World properties while the victims and their children were issued trespass orders and kicked out of their deluxe resorts at 2:30am in the morning … with children.
